Spent 7 nights in the appartment downstairs with terrace. Such a serene, tranquil environment right next to the beautiful Waldhusen forrest. Affordable price. Trainline nearby is really quiet. Supermarkets in walking distance in Kücknitz. Nice buffet style breakfast with everything you could want. Room was fully equipped, the bed was on the upper level. No air condition but plenty of windows to open and let a breeze in on a hot day. We hired E-bikes at Sellmanns bike shop in Kücknitz. 30 minutes to Travemünde by E-bike. When riding to Lübeck there is a bus shuttle that takes cyclists through the Herren Tunnel free of charge. Can cycle to the Hemmelsdorfer swimming lakes or to Ratekau. Loved our stay and would highly recommend and definitely return.

Very elegant hotel. Nice big room. Fresh breakfast with good service.

Only minus is railway too close to hotel, but if you close the windows, no problem.

Kurze Auszeit in der Gartensuite, sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück sehr lecker und alles was man braucht für einen guten Start in den Tag.
Wunderschöner, gepflegter und ruhiger Garten.
Die Bahn hat uns nicht gestört. Mit dem Fahrrad tolle Ausflugsstrip möglich.
Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

The hotel is located on the edge of the forest within walking distance to various shops in Kücknitz and quite centrally located for trips to the Baltic Sea or to Lübeck, whether by bike or car.
The room is well furnished and in our opinion has comfortable beds.
A beautiful garden invites you to linger. The large lockable bicycle shed and the convenient location should be advantageous for cyclists, for cars there are numerous parking spaces behind the house.

For sensitive sleepers, however, the short distance to the road and railway track should be mentioned. With the window closed and to the rear, this should hardly be a problem. Since we were on the side of the main building and slept with the window open because of the high temperatures, it took a bit of getting used to. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy our stay and are happy to recommend the hotel.
The last time we stayed in one of the apartments, which are also highly recommended and impress with their spaciousness. We also had fewer problems with traffic noise there.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Hotel Waldhusen und haben dort eine Woche verbracht. Wieder einmal haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und freuen uns über ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Das Hotel liegt am Waldrand in fußläufiger Entfernung zu diversen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Kücknitz sowie recht zentral für Ausflüge an die Ostsee oder nach Lübeck, ob nun per Rad oder per Pkw.
Das Zimmer ist gut eingerichtet und hat aus unserer Sicht bequeme Betten.
Ein herrlicher Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der große abschließbare Fahrradschuppen und die günstige Lage dürften für Radfahrer vorteilhaft sein, für Pkw gibt es zahlreiche Parkplätze hinterm Haus.

Für sensible Schläfer sollte allerdings die geringe Entfernung zu Straße und Bahngleis genannt werden. Bei geschlossenem Fenster und nach hinten raus sollte dies kaum ein Problem darstellen. Da wir im Haupthaus zur Seite raus waren und wegen der hohen Temperaturen bei offenem Fenster geschlafen haben, war dafür allerdings etwas Gewöhnung nötig. Nichtsdestotrotz haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genießen können und empfehlen das Hotel gerne weiter.
Das letzte Mal hatten wir in einem der Appartements verbracht, die auch sehr empfehlenswert sind und durch ihre Großräumigkeit bestechen. Dort hatten wir auch weniger Probleme mit dem Verkehrslärm.
