This is a large, flat, open park--suitable for walking, but not particularly feature-rich. The Auwald is more interesting and varied. Walk along the trails on the eastern and northern faces for occasional views into the Leipzig Zoo.

We love the Rosental. We take our kids every time we visit. You can look into he back of the zoo, have a meal or snack or beer in a café back of the zoo. There are playgrounds all around. Plenty of space to have fun and Picknicks and barbecues and more.

Love this place. There is a free open air concert once a year with the Leipzig symphonic orchestra playing. Absolutely beautiful. Grab a blanket and a picnic basket and join the fun

Restful, peaceful, good for walking and biking, lots of foot paths, you can even have a peek into Leipzig's zoo.
