A formerly beautiful part of Clara-Zetkin that has recently (January 2022) been ruined. This place held the wishes of children, of people sick with covid, of people recovering from cancer. I hope that whoever decided to take these things away feels very proud of what they have done — the world is a little darker because of you.

Lovely community project which someone with hate in their hearts has DESTROYED. The lower branches of this tree were covered with wishes from members of the community, many of them children, and it was simply lovely. I suppose that whoever removed the wishes and put up a sign forbidding more wishes (!!!) thought they were doing something good for the environment, but their environmental impact was practically nil and their negative impact on the community was huge. If you are worried about the environment in Leipzig, please go clean out the Karl-Heine-Kanal, which literally has refrigerators and washing machines sitting at the bottom of it. Don't attack the wishes of children!
