"Cheesy" sauce is amazing, definitely recommend nachos. Burrito was very tasty too. Vegan ice coffee was the best I've had so far

1. The outside garden is just heavenly.
2. The owners are super duper nice.
3. The main food was so great.
I truly recommend to order the fried pickles + taco combination of beans puree + meat grinder!
4. The ice cream in waffle was to die for!
5. The vibe was so relaxing... We could sit there for hours.

I rarely ever write reviews but I felt compelled to in this case, especially because this place seems to receive such high ratings. We really appreciated the pun of the name of this establishment, but in retrospect, it more of an ominous warning. We ordered tacos and a burrito and were very surprised to basically receive various constellations of white wraps with salad in them. One was called a taco, supposedly because it was left open as tacos tend to be, but otherwise it had nothing to do with a taco, whether Mexican, Tex-Mex, or otherwise. The burrito was basically the same thing but folded like a burrito. There was little to no taste to any of them, just copious amounts of salad and some overseasoned vegan meat. Treat yourself to something better, you deserve it.

One star because they’re vegan.
We ordered tacos and they were basically small wraps with some strange Indiany-tasti meaty like pieces and unflavored salad and chopped tomatoes on top, no sauce nothing, horrible experience. On top of that we arrived at 8, one hour before closing, and they said we could not sit in the garden cause they were about to close….eh what? Horrible waste of money :( fed my taco to the birds

Really good food, even if the wait was a little long. Portions are huge, the prices are relatively cheap, and the meat free alternatives (even as a meat eater) were arguably better than any meat I’ve eaten anyway. Nice one.

A true vegan sanctuary - they provide delicious comfort food at an unbeatable price point. As a native Texan, this place is my jam - I probably come here with my girlfriend at least once a week. The staff are friendly, unique characters who seem to genuinely enjoy themselves. Connewitz just wouldn’t be Connewitz without them.

First timers - the burritos are very filling, maybe start with the nachos with a jazzy extra topping and see where it takes you.

Very tasty food and affordable prices. Burritos and Pommes are highly recommended! Vegan ice was also good.
