Rude receptionist pushed me around at the first encounter and didn't even listen to what I said. continued to scream and curse at me while threatening to throw me out. For opening the door because I had to get something out of the car.

Fine place, not the worst. The best weren't to good but the service was pretty good. Especially a semi young male receptionist (18-23 maybe) was nice, and welcoming

Bad timing, went during Kieler Woche. They charged like a hotel, but services and cleanliness were the same, of a cheap hostel. 3 stars because the breakfast was good.

It's hard to believe, but almost all the reviews here were right:
- I had to pay about 10€ extra per night due to not being a member
- the breakfast was okay and plentiful
- the staff was friendly but not super clear
- there is a curfew between 1am and 7am where you can't enter/leave the building
- the dorm rooms were a bit old (Deutschmark-operated lockers!) and not super-well ventilated, but with the window open it was nice

Overall, it was still reasonably priced, and I slept and ate well. Also, it was one of the last places still available when I booked, so I'm grateful that I found it! I will probably come back here.

The hostel is good to stay and I have been staying here since last month.
The place like this should be there in all around the world instead of just Europe. I wish i could stay here long time but unfortunately I can't.

Good youth hostel in the city of Kiel, friendly staff, and spacious rooms with good views. The location of the hostel is a bit out of the city centre.
