Beatifull place. You gotta go there if you'r around there. We walked around the building and the park. Take the ball with you and go playing to the yard. Locals are using the place.

A very, very friendly gentleman in the marble bathroom pointed out to us that there was a charge to visit the marble bathroom.
We gave it up when we found out that this was not a baroque bath house....

I actually thought the marble bath in the orangery would be a bathing establishment for rich and aristocratic people at the time, but that's not the case.....
The name designation, "marble bathroom" is rather misleading... it was never a bathroom....
This square building, which belongs to the Orangery building complex, was only used for festive and representative occasions
The Marble Bath was built between 1722 and 1728. It is probably the only building in the orangery that survived the turmoil of World War II
survived unscathed and is said to be one of the last buildings of this type in Germany today.
Anyone interested in life-size marble statues in a bespoke opulent setting should pay a visit to the Marble Baths....

Wir waren am 06.06.2020 in Kassel zu Gast.....Der Spaziergang zur Orangerie, im Staatspark Kalsaue, stand mit auf unseren Besichtigung-Programm, von Kassel.
Ein sehr, sehr freundlicher Herr, im Marmorbad, machte uns darauf aufmerksam, das es kostenpflichtig sei, das Marmorbad zu besichtigen.
Wir haben darauf verzichtet, als wir erfahren haben, das es sich hier nicht um ein Barockes Bade-Haus handelte....

Das Marmorbad, bei der Orangerie, hatte ich eigentlich gedacht wäre eine Badeanstalt, für damals reiche und adelige Leute, dem ist aber nicht so.....
Die Namen-Bezeichnung, " Marmorbad " ist da eher irreführend.....es war nie ein Bad gewesen....
Dieses Quadratische Bauwerk, das zum Gebäude-Komplex, der Orangerie gehört, wurde nur für festliche und repräsentative Anlässe genutzt
Das Marmorbad, wurde im Zeitraum 1722 - 1728 erbaut. Es hat wohl als einziges Gebäude der Orangerie, die Kriegs wirren des zweiten Weltkrieges
unbeschadet überstanden, und soll heute eines der letzen Gebäude, dieser Machart, in Deutschland sein.
Wer sich für lebensgroße Marmor-Statuen, in einer angepassten prächtigen Umgebung interessiert, sollte das Marmorbad einen Besuch abstatten....
