Quiet room, compact and well equipped. Delicious breakfast and food in the restaurant. Very friendly proprietors. If travelling with a car it's worth bearing in mind that the car park is small and the road to access it is very narrow. Street parking around the hotel can be limited as well.

Rooms are alright. Clean enough but feel like a motel and not like a hotel. Good in the breakfast is fine, but the staff is really helpful (that you only see during the breakfast time).

On March 27, I made a restaurant reservation for May 6 for a party of 6, which was confirmed by email. When we arrived, nobody was aware of the reservation and we got no table. I saw the owner through the kitchen door; however, he couldn't be bothered to even apologize.

Horrible experience. Never again. Keep your dignity and sleep/dine somewhere else. :(

Wonderful and charming hotel! It is located in a residential area of Karlsruhe but very close to public transportation. The reception to the hotel was very friendly and the rooms were very well appointed with what a traveler needs, to include a complimentary bottle of water.

In the hotel they have a restaurant which serves the most wonderful creations. The offer bread on the table with Seasoned Salts to sprinkle on to it. This was my first experience with such an offering so I gladly tried it. The flavor was wonderful, which then made my expectations grow on the meal that I ordered. Pumpkin Soup and for the Main Course Zwiebelrostbraten. Wow the Zwiebelrostbraten was excellent, one was served a nice sized portion and well prepared. The meat was so tender that it cut without the use of a steak-knife. Simply melted in ones mouth.

In the morning, breakfast was just as elegant as the evening meal. Everything that one would want for breakfast and all hot and tasty.

If I come back to Karlsruhe, I will be coming back to Schuhs Hotel and Restaurant!

Terrible!!!! The worst service I've ever had in a hotel in my entire life! At 9:30 am they were knocking on the door every ten minutes to tell me to check out .. when the check out time was 11:00 .. and in a very very rude way...

The rooms are not the best. But its a cute hotel with and gets the job done. Nice hotel to pass by.
