We ate there with a bigger group, which is why they had a reduced menu with only a few of the usual dishes for us. I was sitting with three other persons and all of us are vegan. None of those dishes were vegan so I asked the waitress if I could just order french fries, to which the answer was a "sure", followed by "actually, I'd have to ask in the kitchen", followed by "probably not, since you can only order stuff that's listed on the limited menu, sorry". Even though the menu did not list french fries, it had currywurst with french fries on it so they surely should have had french fries available. Anyways, the waitress didn't come back, so she probably didn't go to ask in the kitchen.
Later a different waitress came and we asked again about vegan food, so she suggested spaetzle with tomato sauce instead of cheese. As I asked about the spaetzle containing eggs, she said she didn't know and would ask in the kitchen. She, too, never came back.
Eventually, after an eternity of just sitting there without something to eat, we just got up, paid for our expensive drinks and left.
I know this is a very subjective experience and many other people (even from our group) probably had a much better experience there, but that's just how it was for me (and the three other vegan persons I was with).
