My favorite cafe in Karlsruhe. Super cute spot with an extensive menu of freshly prepared food and different homemade lemonades. The concept is really cool: you have a list of breakfast items that you can choose your “dream breakfast” from by ticking what you want. They also have different fresh cakes. All of the furniture and most of the crockery is vintage.

It’s nice intimate cosy place with delicious food
BUT
- not kid-friendly (no changing table). The place is too small for being there with active toddlers.

- Also road works (July 2022) don’t make you feel no comfortable to sit outside. And quite a busy street spoils all the vibes of the place.

- a bit pricey for what you get.

- getting a parking slot nearby is not easy.

Overall, it’s 4 stars because food is good, people are nice, atmosphere is relaxed.

Love the atmosphere and homemade scone. Happy that they are flexible enough to give a table to those who did not reserve beforehand. Really appreciate it ????????

Floor was surprisingly dirty; especially we were one of the first arrived guest so those breadcrumbs must have stayed there overnight.
Menu was a tiny bit different than it is shown on website. No more Rührei as option.

It's a cute cafe with a convenient menu. I liked that scones and croissants were served warm. But I found the content too minimalist and low quality ( except for homemade jam which was way better than industrial). Scones weren't special, were not well baked in the middle. The worst part of menu was the juice. It was hardly 100ml , FAKE orange juice for 1.5 €?!!

Nice and quiet place, tasty food and excellent service. Really enjoyed the idea of making your own dish by choosing the “ingredients” from the menu. Well done to all the people working at Lottis Traum.

We went there last Sunday, we were 2 people and it was for a late breakfast and left feeling mad and like having waisted my whole morning.

You could tell there was problem inside the kitchen and the waiting time was too long, arrived around 10:30 had to wait to almost 11 to get my order taken and to 12 to receive just some bread and an omelette, the musli never arrive, after getting the omelette I had to wait gor like 5 minutes to get a fork or a spoon, tried to ask for some salt and pepper but they never came, had to ask the table next to us if they could lend us some.

We tried to ask sooner if the food was going to take too long or if could change things so we it will come faster, but there was none outside, absolutely everyone were in the kitchen, when someone came out it was just to deliver the food and run back inside.

Nobody apologized or explained why it took almost an hour to get our food, and by the end when all we wanted was to leave to get to see some of the city, we ask for to pay, they told us to wait and took them like 20 more minutes just to get the bill. It was almost 2 hours spend on a late breakfast! And we didn't order that much.

The food was good, but in general, with all the waiting time and the missing food, I won't recommend it.

Great place, cozy, love the mid century interior, off the beaten track hidden kind of gem place. Nice coffee, breakfast, cake and light lunch! And a very nice personal service. A favorite place for me in Karlsruhe.
