Arrogant business owner. Especially if you are not German. If lessen the ego would be good for business but that’s just a suggestion.

Cakes were decent, not the best but for Karlsruhe city it is good.

I like this place, a bit peaceful, and the Umgebung is calm. The coffee and pastries was also great, with a reasonable price. The owner serves us, and was delightful to take our group picture.

This place is highly recommended! The cakes are pretty traditional but really good and they offer a huge variety. The café on the second floor is a lot like a Austrian "Kaffeehaus", and it's always very clean, with classical music in the background, a lovely atmosphere.
Highlight: English afternoon Tea! It comes with sandwiches and scones, like the real deal. You'd have to make a reservation in advance for that though.
Oh, and don't miss their Brigantentaler around Christmas, they are absolutely to die for!

good coffee, delicious cakes and great service. it is not a hipster magnet, has its own oldschool charms instead. prices are affordable, but, just as the overall quality, not as low as at a chain bakery/café. would visit again as soon as possible to try it as a reading nook. would definitely recommend.

Highly recommended if you are in town. Large selection of cakes, tea and coffee. Great atmosphere for a treat or meet up with friends.

Wonderful atmosphere, like Alice in the wonderland style. Cakes are delicious!
