Literally the worst service I've had in my life from this old white German man. The food was great, but if you happen to be a woman, a person of color, and don't speak German well, then prepare to have a bad time.

I'm like the easiest person in the world to wait on because I've worked that job before, so I know how hard it is and never complain about anything, but the waiter literally yelled at me, insulted me, loomed over me at the table, and took my plate away while I was still eating.

I should had left right away, but I was so hungry at that point, so I stayed. If you don't speak German well, are a woman, Asian, or American, then stay away. Maybe just order takeout since the food was good, but don't eat there as the horrible service ruined the entire experience. 0/5 stars

That's really amazing food and a wonderful experience. Suggest to everyone to go there. Have been to several Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurants and this was definitely one of the best.

We went to Asmara for the first time - honestly just because we had a voucher. I don't have a lot of experience with African cuisine and my only comparison with Eritrean cuisine is the Restaurant Mogogo in Karlsuhe where I went to a couple of years ago. Here are my impressions:
+ lovely owners
+ yummy food
+ relaxed atmosphere
o prices a little on the higher side
o atmosphere of a typical german "Kneipe"
o bathrooms a little run down but clean

We (a group of for adults and a toddler) had a vegan platter for three and one soupy/stewt dish. The platter was yummy and filling. I personally really enjoyed the chickpea soup as well - some others in the group were not too impressed by it.
What really stood out was the friendly and kind spirit of the owners. Our son had the best time crawling around and checking out what was behind the bar. The owners took the time to play with him and gave him the freedom to move around freely. This was really great. We will come back.

Felt aunthetic and serves delicious food. I would recommend for foodies and suggest to taste their platter. The ambience was bit dull for my taste. But overall it was a delight!

Being a great fan of world cuisine, went with some expectations. But the diner in Asmara scared me to try out authentic restaurants.

Abience: a place which does feel anything like having a good dining experience. The choice of music is so bad ( it

Food : worst in the name of Ethiopian/ Eritrian food. They r trying to ensure that people who visit Asmara dont build any expectations from african food.

Service : there aint a big team serving, so you can find only 1 old chap taking orders and being a bartender.
I read a similar review on tripadvisor but took my chances.

Drinks: If you expect soem hotel in germany to serve beer mixed with water for 3,5€, please add this hotel to lost.

Last but not the least, staff ( bartender + owner + steward ) will be highly unprofessional. Get ready to lose ur self- esteem.

Having everything said, the hotel in the end asked for payment in cash and not accpeting card payments. I found it very bad that they are cheating and not paying taxes to goverment to save some cost.

My ratings are towards 0 and did not find any good thungs to say about this hotel. An roadside imbiss is more better and serves ' atleast' hot food for a bill of 60€.

Dont go for vouchers, i read on trip advisor that they serve more badly to people with vouchers :(

I tried the vegan option and it was really yum.
