Yangda Chinese Restaurant

Went first week of August 2022, arrived at 7.30 pm and ordered within 10 mins. We ordered the full fish (and other three dishes) and they told us that fish will take time which we were ok with. The tripe was quite good starter, the fish was decent, the kungpao duck reminds me of indian Manchurian recipe which I do not dislike so it was good. The stir fry bok choy was good. Now the downside
1. The food were all sub-par
2. The service was sooo so bad, rude hosts
3. We had to ask/remind them of each and every dish. We had to ask for the rice and by the time it came it was almost cold and chewy
4. The food came 15 to 30 mins after the other, by the time the bok choy came it was 9 pm (hard to understand how it came last since it's probably the easiest to make ????) and we were asked to hurry by 9.10 as they were going to close soon (by this time I was so annoyed that I marked all the timings)
5. P.s. don't carry your own water, it was a very hot day, my friend and I had each half full 500ml bottles of water with us, we were told rudely that we will be charged for our water, we immediately hid our bottle ???? Luckily they didn't
Even if I had liked the food I will not go back.

Foods here are ok and the staff here are so nice! I think the prices here are also acceptable! However, I think the 回锅肉 and 茄子 are sweet and hope they can be fixed in the future! Overall this Chinese restaurant worth a visit!

It’s a shame that Heidelberg simply has no decent Chinese restaurants. Yangda is supposed to be better than the other ones, but look at the color of their rice, and the hair on skin, so disgusting!

Aubergine - way too sweet and too much sauce, the pork tasted off, as it has strong pork smell, ingredients are not fresh
Tofu - really cheap ingredients, shrimp was very cheap, wrong tofu used, sauce tasted very weird
Pork - only a few pork pieces, the rest was vegetable

I do not recommend this place, dont go, cheap ingredients!

Pretty good original food. Price quality amount very good. Some of the dishes dont come out so good that is why 4 stars.

It was a pleasure to have some good, authentic Chinese food after a long time. Both, meat and fish dishes were very tasty and what we would expect from a good Chinese restaurant. The duck was a bit dry unfortunately.
The location is a bit off, close to the rails and not the most comfy interior.
The staff was nice and attentive.
Can totally recommend and will come back in the future

We have traveled to Heidelberg. It was a great surprise to find this nice traditional Chinese restaurant. The flavors are so good and there are so many choices. If we could stay longer, we will definitely visit again.
