Charming hotel in a beautiful location above town, close to Heidelberg castle. Excellent service. Slightly dated in a way that adds to the charm.

We enjoyed the comfort room in the annex with a sunroom and we had one of the four parking slots (every other guest with a vehicle had to park on the narrow street outside the walls). Hotel is located on narrow lane high above the castle (20 min walk away) so we left our car and hiked down to the castle and then down many steps to the old centre of Heidelberg ... good exercise. The room had a fully-stocked bar fridge but we brought our own snacks from the grocery store down in Markt Plaza. To note: there are no restaurants or bars or shops anywhere near this hotel.

Worst hotel in Heidelberg! The rooms are extremely dirty. The bathroom is covered in mold and there is dust everywhere. Sockets at the heads of the beds make it dangerous to sleep here. The staff is unfriendly and some parts of the bathroom have not even been finished yet. The breakfast room and staircase are filled with dead insects. I am questioning if they do even clean these places. They just do not care about the state of the hotel. NEVER book this hotel, choose another place!

Far from city center, unless you have a car please avoid booking there...

The receptionist wasn't helpful at late night check in as she was not in mood to make a kid bed for us because she had to leave.

The receptionist in the morning shift was very helpful and we have a smooth check out.

Room was good standard, clean etc. One staff member gave us map and advised on attractions to see. Hotel is on a hill, near the castle, about 30min stroll to city centre. Breakfast had good choice of food, but for other meals you'll need to go into town, by car, taxi or foot. Aside from looking for day meals, it was very good experience.

Beautiful hotel, but a long way outside Heidelberg. Intriguingly, you find yourself higher even than the castle... to where it's a half an hour walk. The hotel is friendly and the rooms are quiet and comfortable.
