A lamb's lettuce with fried prawns (see picture) does not meet the demands of high-class cuisine or a price of € 70 for a 5-course menu. One of the main courses (red wine risotto with veal cheeks, see photo) was a joke. That was nothing more than a slush of mud. The pikeperch (see picture) was tasty and good. Salmon starter (see picture) was also good.

Worst of all was the smell of the past, which immediately creeps into your nose when you walk into the establishment: it still smells strongly of a pub. The interior design and atmosphere (especially the lighting) are not convincing, loveless and uncomfortable.

The highly praiseworthy article from the local daily HAZ fueled high expectations that were not met. No high-class restaurant fits in there - in the medium term it will probably become a district restaurant with a lower price level (the food already makes the impression).

Ein Feldsalat mit gebratenen Garnelen (s. Bild) passt nicht zum Anspruch einer high-class Küche bzw. einem Preis €70 für ein 5-Gang Menü. Einer der Hauptgänge (Rotweinrisotto m. Kalbsbäckchen, siehe Foto) war ein Witz. Das war nicht mehr als eine Matschepampe. Der Zander (s. Bild) war lecker und gut. Lachs-Vorspeise (s. Bild) war ebenfalls gut.

Am schlimmsten war der Geruch der Vergangenheit, welcher einem beim Gang in das Etablissement sofort in die Nase kriecht: es riecht noch immer stark nach Kneipe. Auch die Innenraumgestaltung und Atmosphäre (v.a. die Beleuchtung) ist nicht überzeugend, lieblos und ungemütlich.

Der hochlobende Artikel aus der lokalen Tageszeitung HAZ hat eine hohe Erwartung geschürt, die nicht erfüllt wurde. Dort passt einfach kein high-class Restaurant hinein - mittelfristig wird das wohl ein Stadtteil-Restaurant werden sollen, mit niedrigerem Preisniveau (den Eindruck macht das Essen sowieso schon).
