One of the worst dishes I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve lived in Southern Germany and I’ve eaten quite a lot of Spätzle before, but these were unfortunately so terrible that I couldn’t finish them. It wasn’t physically possible because the amount of salt was preposterous. The meatloaf on the side reeked like dog food and was drowned in a sea of desperation and brown sauce. I tried to console myself with a bottle of expensive Tannenzäpfle, but I hastily paid and went out in search for water.
I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’ll give it a second chance, there’s too much good food out there.

I was walking around downtown Hamburg around lunchtime, not feeling any of the mass-produced options and then I remembered this little gem. Excellent, homemade food to fill you up on a cold day and very nice service - highly recommended!

Best Spätzle I have ever had. The restaurant is very cute and homey feeling. Amazing place, you definitely need to come.

Well if this is typical schwaben cousine...
Where to start, first we couldn't sit to empty table, because there were dirty dishes and service really didn't mind, texting at the counter. After ordering, we waited half an hour for drinks, nothing special, just water and lemonade. The service even opened one lemonade for themselves in meantime ???? After a while, salads came, but without any cutlery. Service again without care in the world. After another half an hour, first of four meals came, then another twenty minutes of waiting for another one meal. Then service came twice with wrong meal. We even had to reorder one meal. After hour and a half, all of our meals were at the the table, but the waiting wasn't really worth it. The taste was bland at best. For 15 euros a meal, we expected something more. I would recommend avoid for eating, visit for the experience. We haven't laughed so hard in a while ????

Very good, big portions. As a turist, I had some difficulties in understanding the menu, but the staff was really polite. Good prices

Best Spaetzle I had in a loooong time! Delicious food with affordable prices and plenty of veggie options. It’s a very small and comfy place with only one waitress and a cook. Respectful and courteous service, but wouldn’t go as far as calling them friendly. Food gets served relatively fast but, although you can, wouldn’t recommend coming in with kid(s) - no kid chairs and they clearly appreciate the quiet.
No parking outside, no space inside to leave a pushchair or things of the sort. Not wheelchair friendly either.

Went for dinner on a Monday night- didnt book and there was a table for 2 at 7.30pm but it filled up after we arrived. It's a lovely, homely small place (maybe 10 tables) and the staff were lovely.
The menu was small but the food tasted great. Good choice of both local and international wines and German beer.
Highly recommend for an authentic, homely German dining experience!
