Interesting museum and it is free! It is mostly only in German. Very informative for adults, but there were also many kids that seemed to have fun. There are toilets and lockers. The personal is welcoming and willing to help.

Very interesting museum with in the city. Informative and interactive museum for enthusiastic people who like biodiversity of animals. People who works there are very friendly and the entry is totally free. But for their efforts and inform the visit a donation is worthy.

The museum is free, and really interesting. Most of the exhibition is only in German (except the one about insects going extinct and trash in the ocean). Still even without being able to understand much of what was written in German, it was interesting just to look at all the animals. Would definitely recommend (if you can not read German but want to read the signs the google translate app can be used if you take a picture of the sign)

I like that it is free entrance. It is as nice for kids as adults. The presentation is really didactic and well done.

Impressive collection of animals and bones with thematic order, also not only giving insight into zoological themes but explaining a bigger picture (interdisciplinary), which I like a lot in museums.
To see the big five or bears in full size (not only in a documentary) or the outline of a blue whale with it's lower jaws is just stunning on a different level !

Very beautiful!! Got the chance to sense our world and to feel it!

Not very large and the stuffed animals mostly look like overused toys with fur worn and old. But with the global extinction of biodiversity in full swing it is not so easy to go out and kill more animals to get a fresher look for the exhibition.
It's a poor museum compared to the Smithsonian institution in the US,. But it is a lot closer and more accessible if you live in and around Hamburg.
