We believed we had booked a room with an attached bathroom, but when we arrived to the hotel, we discovered our room shared the bathroom with another. Upon review of our email exchange, it appears the owner, Kathrin, made an honest mistake: in English, she had written the room had a bathroom "with one another room". We had understood this to mean the bathroom was in another room, but it was meant to indicate the bathroom was *shared* with another room.

We called for information, which is when our problems started. Kathrin very rudely informed us that she had no other rooms available and we must pay the full amount of our booking, despite this mixup. We never met her, nor stayed in the hotel in the end, and she simply charged our card. When we called her again to try and clear up the situation, she once again rudely yelled at us, claiming that because no one else had misunderstood her in 18 years we must be in the wrong.

I understand honest mix ups, and we would have been willing to pay in part or in full, but treating your customers rudely, as idiots who cannot understand their mother tongue, when you made a mistake, is totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and simply unkind.

Take your money and pride elsewhere, and stay away from Schlaflounge.

Recently spent two nights at this lovely boutique hotel in a quiet and chic location in Hamburg ... It only has 6 rooms, which does have one drawback, as one hears the kids upstairs in the next flat running around getting ready for school in the morning ... but the two women who run it are very friendly, serving breakfast and chatting if one wants to - they cater well to special needs. Süddeutsche Zeitung and soy cappucino at breakfast! Not luxurious, but very well-appointed, clean, modern. Location is great, only a few minutes to U-Bahn Christuskirche, which in turn is only 4 stops from the central station. Delightful!

Kleines, aber sehr feines Hotel im unmittelbaren Umfeld des beliebten Schanzenviertels. Das Haus hat nur 6 Zimmer, was den Aufenthalt angenehm unkompliziert und familiär macht. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück wird von der Inhaberin des Hotels morgens frisch an den Tisch gebracht. Es gibt verschiedene Bäckerbötchen, Croissants (Keine Aufbackware) verschiedene Wust- und Käsesorten, Ei, Konfitüre, Honig etc. Dazu Kaffee oder verschiedene Teesorten. Bei der Auswahl wird definitiv Wert auf Qualität gelegt, alles schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Man merkt einfach, dass die Hotelinhaberin mit dem Herzen dabei ist!
