The brunch spread was really nice u0026 delicious in a quiet corner of winterhude. Only reason for 4 star rating was the waiting time. It took an hour for our food to arrive. Friendly staff and good prices too!

We had a fruit plate here, of which the taste was nice. A cosy place, but nothing really special. Staff could have been more friendly, that’s for sure.

This is one of the absolutely best cafes in Hamburg!! Every day you can get some nice drinks, homemade food (like Baguettes, waffles, bowls, soups, ect), delicious Cakes and even a great Breakfast (with Sucuck!!) there!!
They also offer vegan and gluten free dishes and cakes!! And the service is always super nice and friendly!!
If I could give more then 5 stars, I would do!!

Today I went with a Russian friend, and as soon as the man at the counter heard Russian speech, he turned extremely rude to the point of aggressive, including interfering into our conversation and trying to speak broken Russian to us. I have been to the place many times in a German company, and the same man was always friendly to us. So disappointing. Better spend your time and money somewhere else, where the staff is not racist.

Best Cafe in Hamburg!

Frau Kowolik has the most varieties in their kitchen. From Croque to Soup, big breakfast to a delicious cake, you can enjoy your meal with different options.

Breakfast:
You can order almost anything, but if you would like to try something different, order the " Günaydin" breakfast, with Sucuk and Simit(sesam ring). Of course with Çay.

You can pick everything To Go as well, but if you would like feel the Jarrestadt, you should reserve a place at least couple days before.

Lunch:

You can order delicous croques, but Frau Kowolik offers also fresh and home made soups. Nowadays they are also preparing lunch boxes with variety of food.

Cake:

Do you have a problem with Gluten? Dont worry, ask one of their glutenfree cake. If you dont, ask any cake. You will not regret it.

Personal:
Frau Kowolik reminds me the tv show Cheers, where everyone know your name. The team is so beloved in winterhude that makes everyone happy to be here. The hard working team never skips the smile to the guests. They take their time to spend with almost everyone. Therefore everybody likes them.

Frau Kowolik is the pearl of the Jarrestadt. No wonders that everybody spends lot of time here.
