Great public beach! Cool spot for a picnic. There is public parking on the streets about 500 meters from the beach with access via a steep staircase (Himmelsleiter). We brought a picnic dinner and enjoyed the view. We saw a freighter docking. People were swimming, playing Kuub (Wikingerschach), Spikeball, and volleyball. Dog friendly. It was a cool location to hang out and people watch.

Beautiful beach with some nice open restaurants. The sunset is gorgeous here. If you are in hamburg then do visit via Ferry.

Easy access with the ferry, nice beach for families, couples, singles and dogs. Several restaurants around to have a drink, a burger or fish'n'chips or coffee and cake. We will come back next time when we're in Hamburg.
