A good Italian option in Hamburg.
Place: it is located near the reeperbahn, it is a cozy place with certain Italian touch.
Service: we were warm welcomed and accommodated however the dinner service was poor. They literally throw the plates on the table and not pay much attention to customers.
Food: they served bruschetta for pre-starters then we had vitello tonato for starters and a pasta and meat for mains. Desserts was tiramisu, creamy but too much chocolate powder on the top. The food was tasty and we liked it.
Could have been a great experience with a bit more of love from the service, anyhow the food was acceptable.

The oldest and still the most cosy Italian restaurant in Hamburg. Authentic Italian food as you would expect in a Trattoria in the south of Italy. Nice wine list and decent 'by the glass' pairing with the food. Friendly service, but do not go there if you are in a rush. Good food takes time specially as it is made fresh and served steaming hot here. The must-have include the 'Ravioli alla zia Rosa' and 'Gambei alla casa' if you like garlic!

My last visit was 30 years ago. Franca is friendlier than her father and there is room for improvement. Food is very good, very Italian, simple. Great selection of wines at reasonable prices. Very good service. Decoration makes you feel like sitting in someone's living room.

Very nice experience! The staff was very welcoming, polite and sweet. The food was extremely well prepared. We were two persons and we paid 75 euros for a shared appetizer, two pastas and a bottle of red wine. I believe we got very good value. We will definitely come again!

A tad bit congested. The food and desserts are okish, nothing extraordinary.

Have enjoyed top Italian restaurants in many cities all over the world. This was delicious food by any standard. Excellent ingredients. The olive oils for the breads were smooth and not bitter/old. The bread fresh, pastas cooked to perfection and the sauces flavorful. Minestrone soup simple and very good. My wife’s tuna and salad were fresh, and my seafood risotto was excellent. Staff helpful and attentive. Reasonably priced. Food was incredibly hot and clearly was not simply reheated. Wait time for food was not long at all, as our kids had no issues with the reasonable wait. Delightful, old world traditional ambiance. Would definitely return.
