While the hotel has many positives i must say for a 4 night stay at a cost of approx £700 this hotel appears to have a major systems failure when it comes to the cards for their bedrooms and accessing the hotel. When you check in you receive 2 cards for your room. I arrived with my wife on Thursday morning 2 June at 10am and between that date and leaving on Monday 6 June we had to go to reception on at least 8 occassions to get the card reprogrammed as they failed every time we returned to hotel after being out for the day.To get the card reprogrammed I had to stand behind new guests checking in or guest's checking out. Guests asking questions or getting directions and then were asked the same questions before reception would reprogramme the 2 cards.
1 Whats your name
2 Whats your room number
3 When are you checking out.
When I asked why this was a continually problem, receptions reply was "oh its a system problem".
On the final occassion the receptionist has the audacity to ask me for photographic id. I was at breaking point at this stage, that this hotel is lucky I am not taking a case against them for charging me £700 for a service they failed to provide. If I was to calculate the time I spent going up and down to 7th floor (We were in room 729) top of the hotel,
I would say, time wise I probably lost hours of my holiday.
So I say to the owner if this is a problem then you need to change your price per night or offer compensation to guests like myself whi have been inconvenienced by this "system failure"
