A surprisingly comfortable apartment hotel in the middle of nowhere. The apartment was fully equipped with everything you may need for a few days - or even weeks - stay. The apartment honestly, felt new, it was spotlessly clean and spacious - even for 3 of us. The kitchen was very well equipped.

The warm water supply was a bit unpredictable, upon opening the tap it was running fine for a few seconds then sometimes it switched to cold but warmness returned a few moments later... Anyhow, this was the heaviest issue we faced (nothing too serious).

The staff went out their way to fulfill our requests, even if they were not in the building, we could reach them on the phone without delay.

The location is.. well, middle of the car dealership district, there's nothing elss around, 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station or grocery store, or you wait for the bus stopping just around the corner - leaving maybe twice an hour.

The price is unbeatable for 3 persons, that was the selling point for us - and we received much better service as expected for our bucks at the end.

The contact in advance (mail or phone) or personally on site was reliable from the start, very nice and absolutely competent. The bus stop in front of the hotel makes it possible to drive to the main station in 10 minutes. From there you can reach everything by subway or S-Bahn. However, the location of the hotel itself offers nothing: an industrial area, sometimes even frighteningly run down. I really didn't know that so many wrecked cars are allowed to be parked in public traffic areas in Germany and I wouldn't have expected it in Hamburg. Die Rezensionen hier kann ich überwiegend bestätigen. Die Appartements sind noch sehr neu, schick eingerichtet und in sehr gutem Zustand. Alles funktioniert einwandfrei und nirgendwo ist etwas abgewohnt oder unansehnlich. Gut wäre eine hellere Beleuchtung im Bad, die fanden wir etwas funzelig. Größter Nachteil ist, dass das Fenster im Schlafzimmer nicht geöffnet werden kann und durch den davor liegenden Außenflur sowieso keine vernünftige Belüftung möglich wäre. Es ist zwar eine Belüftungsanlage installiert, die im Sommer aber schnell an ihre Grenzen kommt, zumal das Schlafzimmer nach Osten liegt und sich der Außenflur im Sommer schon Morgens früh mega aufheizt. Das ist nicht so vorteilhaft. Allerdings ist in HH ja nicht ständig Superwetter wie derzeit im August '22; bei Regenwetter oder im Winter ist das natürlich halb so wild und für den Sommer ist im Appartement glücklicherweise ein Ventilator vorhanden. Die Lautstärke im Wohnzimmer ist bei geöffneten Fenstern im Sommer auch heftig (stark befahrene Kreuzung). Großstadt eben. Ist im Winter bei geschlossenen Fenstern aber natürlich auch kein Thema.

Der Kontakt im Vorfeld (Mail bzw. Telefon) oder persönlich vor Ort war von Anfang an zuverlässig, sehr nett und absolut kompetent. Die Bushaltestelle vor dem Hotel ermöglicht es, in 10 Minuten zum Hbf. zu fahren. Von dort aus kann man mittels U- oder S-Bahn alles erreichen. Die Lage des Hotels selbst bietet allerdings nichts: Ein, teilweise sogar erschreckend abgeranztes, Industriegebiet. Dass in Deutschland so viele Autowracks im öffentlichen Verkehrsraum abgeparkt werden dürfen, wusste ich wirklich nicht und hätte ich in HH so nicht erwartet. Dafür kann das Hotel aber natürlich nichts... insgesamt war es eine gute und sehr interessante Woche. Dem Team vom "Aparthotel am Südkanal" wünschen wir weiter alles Gute!

Zimmer wie auf der Homepage beschrieben, gut geeignet für einen Kurzurlaub, sehr sauber. Die Anbindung an den ÖPNV ist durch die Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Haus sehr gut. Großer Nachteil ist die Lautstärke durch die Lage an der Kreuzung von zwei tagsüber viel befahrenen Straßen.
Während unseres Aufenthaltes war eine Baustelle direkt vor dem Haus. Das in die Baustellenampel integrierte Sehbehindertensignal war so laut, dass es auch bei geschlossenem Fenster erheblich gestört hat. Und auch nachts die ganze Zeit durchgehend gepiept hat. Bei geschlossener Schlafzimmertür war es okay. Da bei vier Personen aber zwei auf der Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer schlafen mussten, mussten diese sehr darunter leiden. Auch die Kurzzeitparkplätze zum Be- und Entladen konnten aufgrund der Baustelle nicht angefahren werden.
Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass sich diese Dinge nach Fertigstellung der Straße wieder ändern.

Ich habe für 5 Tage gebucht. Es ist bei Rückfragen immer ein Ansprechpartner vor Ort oder wenn aber die Rezeotion nicht besetzt ist, dann ist eine Kontaktnummer hinterlegt. Auch in dem Apartment ist ein Info Ordner hinterlegt. (zweisprachig) :) Auch bei der Buchung war der Infoaustausch ausführlich und auf jede meiner Fragen wurde umgehend eingegangen. Vor dem Aparthotel ist direkt davor eine Bushaltestelle in der man innerhalb von 10 Minuten am Hbf/ZOB ist. Um die Ecke ist ebenfalls eine andere Bushaltestelle . 5Minuten Laufweg entfernt ist eine Tankstelle sowie mehrere Möglichkeiten wo man Essen gehen könne. Die Apartments selbst sind modern gestaltet, Licht durchflutet und vom Verkehr bekommt man nichts mit. Die Ausstattung der Küchenutensilien/-geräte wirken sehr neuwertig. Preis-Leistung ist super und die Unterlunft empfehlenswert
