The constant renewed personal commitment of all team members touched me deeply in my heart and helped me a lot to see light in the sky again. The respectful treatment that I was able to experience there as a patient accompanied me throughout my inpatient treatment. What a balm for my soul! Thank you for that.

The constant exchange between the team amazed me in a very positive way and gave me the good feeling of being serious and being noticed. The applied concept of IPT therapy was able to develop its full potential and offer me a lot of help.
The countless positive individual experiences make it difficult for me to highlight individual people, so I would like to pay tribute to the entire team of around 30 people at: -Station 5-

A few more words about the location, the clinic park is very well maintained and surrounded by some very old trees. The fabulous university botanical garden is directly adjacent to the clinic and invites you to take a walk. Freiburg with its surrounding area is beautiful.

Ich möchte hier über meine Erfahrungen als Patient auf der Station 5 berichten. Im Sommer 2020 wurde ich hier 14 Wochen stationär behandelt. Stabilisiert und dankbar für die professionelle Leistung des Teams blicke ich heute zurück.
Auszubildende, Psycho-, Physio-, Kunst-, Ergo-, Gestaltungs- und Musiktherapeuten, Raum-, Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger, Sozialarbeiter, Psychologen, Ärzte und Professoren arbeiteten professionell und gemeinsam als Team.

Ich hätte es nicht für möglich gehalten, so positiv auf die richtige Spur gebracht werden zu können.
Ein immer wieder neues persönliches Engagement aller Teammitglieder hat mich tief in meinem Herzen berührt und half mir sehr, wieder Licht am Himmel zu sehen. Der respektvolle Umgang, den ich dort als Patient hab erfahren dürfen, begleitete mich über die gesamte Dauer meiner stationären Behandlung. Welch ein Balsam für meine Seele! Vielen Dank hierfür.

Der immerwährende Austausch des Teams untereinander, hat mich sehr positiv in Erstaunen versetzt und mir das gute Gefühl gegeben, ernst und wahrgenommen zu werden. Das angewandte Konzept der IPT-Therapie konnte hierbei sein ganzes Potential entfalten und mir viele Hilfestellungen bieten.
Die unzähligen positiven Einzelerlebnisse machen es mir schwer, einzelne Personen besonders hervorzuheben, daher würdige ich hier das gesamte ca.30 köpfige Team der: -Station 5-
- Psychische Akut-Aufnahmestation Universitätsklinikum Freiburg-.

Noch ein paar Worte zur Lage, der Klinik-Park ist sehr gepflegt und von einem teils sehr altem Baumbestand umgeben. Der sagenhafte universitäre Botanische Garten schließt unmittelbar an das Klinikgelände an und lädt zum spazieren ein. Freiburg mit seinem Umland ist wunderschön.

Being declared mentally ill when looking for help because of a lack of competence is probably the general nightmare. I learned from this to stay away from such institutions in the future.

This frightening experience shows me how backward some psychiatric/neurological institutions still are today.

Aufgrund unklarer Beschwerden hat man mich in der Sprechstunde für immunologische Enzephalopathien vorgestellt.
Ich war einmal dort mit ambulanter Lumbalpunktion, nach welcher man mich erstmal spazieren geschickt hat. Nach meinem folgenden Krankenhausaufenthalt wegen Hirnunterdruck dank dieser fahrlässigen Vorgehensweise weiß ich nun, dass man dies auf keinen Fall tun darf.
Zu meinem Unglück waren die Untersuchungen dort auch noch ohne Befund und die Ärzte sich ihres immensen Wissens so sicher, dass man mich für psychisch krank erklärt und eine Einweisung empfohlen hatte, statt andere Ansätze zu suchen. Zumal ich zur neurologischen Abklärung dort war und psychische Beschwerden nicht zum Thema standen oder vorlagen. Mittlerweile konnte dank kompetenter Ärzte in einer anderen Einrichtung eine schwere chronische neurologische Erkrankung sowie starke Herzrhythmusstörungen festgestellt werden.

Für mich war es eine wirklich schlimme und prägende Erfahrung, die mich obwohl es bereits einige Monate her ist bis heute nicht loslässt. Auf der Suche nach Hilfe wegen mangelnder Kompetenz für psychisch Krank erklärt zu werden ist wohl die allgemeine Horrorvorstellung. Ich habe daraus gelernt, solchen Einrichtungen in Zukunft fern zu bleiben.

Dieses erschreckende Erlebnis zeigt mir, wie rückständig psychiatrische/neurologische Einrichtung sogar heute zum Teil noch sind.

Menschenwürdigen Umgang geprägt von Respekt und Achtung vor Mitmenschen wie der Meinungsfreiheit, dass Anfragende ernst genommen wie selbst für sich reden dürfen, deren Beschwerden bearbeitet werden mit Rückmeldungen setze ich voraus wie minimale Leistungsbereitschaft und auch professionelle, zielführende, Verantwortung übernehmende Bearbeitung von Beschwerden auch bzgl. Verhalten von Mitarbeitenden wie Klärung mit betreffenden wie auch verantwortlichen Personen direkt wie vor allem in erster Linie mit Betroffenen?!
