Hotel Löwen is a really cozy little hotel for when you want to be away from all the City noises. It's located near the City but Far enough outside that you feel Like you're just in a little town in Germany.
We payed 36€ per room due to us coming in a big group so I can't talk about the price when you're coming by yourself/in a family.
The rooms were okay. Tbh, I actually liked them. Yes, they are a bit old fashioned but they do have a cozy feel to them. The beds were also nice and not too bad. The bathroom was definitely big enough, only the shower was a bit weird as they don't have any curtain or anything similar to keep the Water from spilling all over the floor so you just stand in a small corner trying to not let any water get out, Not too big of a problem though. The view was nice and cozy but nothing too special.
I DO HAVE TO MENTION, there are more modern rooms. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures but some of us got very modern rooms which looked quite nice so maybe you ask to get one of those if you prefer.
The service was kind and I was satisfied.

The drive to the city is fairly easy too. You get on the Bus that arrives every 15 minutes or so and later on hop on the Tram to the City. Really easy and quite fast. We payed around 3-5€ for a 24h ticket for public transport.

All in all I can really recommend the hotel Löwen and would come again :)

We had a decent stay at Löwen, and the staff were very friendly, but the rooms were very old, looks like they were not changed for at least 40 years, I think the rooms are due for a full renovation.
The drains were also very slow. We got only one pillow and one of them was the smallest and thinnest pillow I've ever got in a hotel. The beds themselves were quite hard. I did not inform the staff of this as we were busy during the day/evening so they did not get a chance to correct.

First of all I want to say that I liked the serious engagement of the young and dedicated team. It seemed that they were short of staff to clean the rooms, and they bent over backwards to get the Rommés ready. I waited for some time, but we were early, so, I didn’t mind. We had some coffee and beer and enjoyed our first day of vacation. The guy at the reception felt sorry because of the waiting time we spent and he took the drinks on the house. Very nice gesture, very much appreciated. The rooms are ok, a bit old fashioned, but clean and tidy.
We will come back.

Although a bit outdated and far from the city centre, for the cheap price it is very nice hotel. Unfortunately i didn't like that u had to pay separately for the breakfast, 12 euro per person is quite a lot. Room was good and spacious. Staff friendly.

The rooms are big and comfortable, with fantastic views and location.
The breakfast was varied and enjoyable.
The personel friendly and helpful.
It was the best choice in Freiburg, we will repeat the experience.

Mr. Marcel muller was very great. Took care of everything I needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Will visit again soon

It’s better than Switzerland haha
