This place seems super nice. Free breakfast and they provide info on busy times so you can avoid the rush. Very helpful staff and modern/flexible rooms that work great for the size.

Only issue was there was a really weird and persistent odor. There was perfume/cologne or something like incense so strong in the hallway that it seemed to be seeping into our room. Family staying in other rooms on our floor mentioned the same thing and also said bathroom pipes were emitting an odor like they hadn't been used in a while.

It was a really nice stay. The rooms are big enough, modern and neat, the bed was comfortable and I really liked that there was a couch and a table in the room. There was also enough space to keep our luggage. The bathroom looked really good, with a spacious shower and a heated mirror that kept it from fogging up. Everything was also squeaky clean. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. What I didn't really like was the breakfast. At about 8 o'clock we went downstairs for breakfast and unfortunately we had to wait a while because the plates at the buffet were empty and there were already guests waiting for the refill. And that unfortunately took a while. We also had to stand in line for coffee since there are only 2 coffee machines which are working quite slow. But apart from this the breakfast was ok.

Great hotel, as usual the Holiday Inn is very much "business style", but even if I was actually travelling with my family, I found the room very nice and comfortable.
And sure very important, it was clean.
The room itself was medium spacious, with a small table and a small corner sofa.
The bathroom was very nice, with a big shower.
Only downside (just a bit) was the breakfast, since I was expecting something more: there was not much of a choice, just some salami and cheese and not many "sweets" but for the price I cannot really complain much.
Regarding the position, this hotel is on a perfect place, about 10-15min walk from Alt Stadt (city center). So you can easily leave the car in the hotel parking (15 euros per day) and walk.

We had the perfect stay at this hotel while in Freiburg. We loved it so much that we even recommended it on our website. :) The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is good and they offered free drinks at the bar if you help save water by refusing the daily turn-down service if you don't really need it. We're tidy, so we enjoyed plenty of drinks. ;)

The rooms were big and clean, the breakfast was also good, there is parking area for the hotel but you won't find a place if you got there late, you can park outside the hotel free from 19:00 until 10:00 Am so you need to move your car before 10 in the morning.
Its close to the old town, five minutes in the car.
The staff were very kind and willing to help a lot

Cant find parking at any time under the hotel, and you should walk away with your own legs.
The kitchen at the breakfast dont smell good, and the shower full of hair even when they give you another room it still have hair in the shower.

Rooms are a decent size with beds and pillows which we found comfortable. Samsung smart tv is great to stream your android stream. Breakfast was a good selection but not really warm cooked items. Staff were all super friendly and nice.
