Great atmosphere in the kitchen, common rooms and dorms. Friendly chats with many people from different places, lots of helpful tips from the staff. Huge dorms and common spaces, no cramped corners. Clean showers with hot water 24 hours a day.

One request would be to install some fans in the dorms… it gets a little too hot at night-time

The room I was staying at was very simple, but good for the money. The showers though were like out of a steampunk movie. 5 stars for the showers! And the bathroom windows overlooked a hill with vine gardens, gorgeous!

There was also a piano in the hall room that you could play!

A great experience! It was my first stay in a hostel and everything went well. The hostel is super close to the city centre. The beds are comfortable enough, the rooms are large enough and the washrooms are clean and well maintained.

Very nice place. We enjoyed playing on the piano, but there are also plenty of other stuff to do. The place is generally quite welcoming and has some nice decorations. Everything works fine.

Nice and cute hostel, decent beds, nice staff, decent price, and about a 25 minute walk from the main train station… and even less than a 20 minute walk to other nearby attractions. I recommend a restaurant and pub called Cafe Atlantik, which is a 5 minute walk or less.

It's in the perfect location, close to city center, having quick connections to schauinsland, and to other city attractions. The staff are super cool, understanding and sweet too... We arrived a little early and they let us store our luggage at the site and explore the city and then come back at 15hrs for check in.... The kitchen is well equipped with vessels, and basic ingredients, ofcourse you would need to bring your own groceries, etc. Also a good place to meet people from all different places in the world and life.... Overall loved the place, would visit again, and would recommend your visit too...

My short trip to Freiburg was so smooth thanks to this base. I was there only for two nights so I couldn't spend so much time in the friendly environment of the common area, but even my limited time there convinced me to stay there also the next time I came to this beautiful city.
