The price (28 euros/night) is to high for the unexpected room and hostel condition. I was there for 2 nights at March 2018. The receptionist are nice, but then the room is not really good. The mixed room is quiet small and the circulation is very bad. The mat is very thin and no cover for the blanket. The bathroom is pretty awful and I couldn't even had a good shower. It was smell and kinda scary. And also no sharing kitchen. The guest weren't allowed to bring and drink any alcoholic drinks in the lobby, BUT you are allowed to drink alcoholic if you buy it from the hostel canteen. How crazy was that. But overall I like the location, it is connected to everywhere and only 5 minutes from the metro station. The receptionist were so friendly, they really guaranted my safety bsince I was the only girl in the room at the time.

Utterly terrible customer service and unpleasant hygiene circumstances.

I arrived at the hostel at 2300 sharp but got refused to check in cause the front desk guy said it should be done before 2300 while previous notification said until 2300. My order was cancelled without refunds due to trivial issues nearly nonsense and I have to find another place to stay after a long day of travel.

The next day when I check in it turns out that no registration is required and the same guy just gave me the key, even didn’t ask for my passport. Unspeakable ironic and idiotic rules plus arrogant and rude manners.

Plus the bed, especially the pillow is not clean. In total it’s a mistake to book this place.

Worst hostel experience ever...First you should know that there are a lot of hidden extra costs that you will be forced to pay for; e.g. You have to pay for a locker 2 € per day (and they force you to do so by declaring they have no responsibility if anything was stolen from you!) ,also 3€ for linens, and if you have extra luggage 10 Euros per day. Moreover you are not allowed to stay in the lobby after 11, meanwhile rooms were very poorly ventilated and were extremely hot, pillows were brought from a garbage site or something! Some guys reported bed bugs!! Drinks are charged double it's price. Alcohol is not allowed , except if you will buy it from them ???? The lady in the reception tries to help but her husband is rude especially when drunk...Looked cheap but at the end found myself paying more than other hostels which are far more better

Affordable Hostel in Frankfurt: This hostel is family owned and run but does have guidelines. Please read all guidelines before booking your stay. They have 2 open areas, one with TV and for dining and one with a great view (hostel is on the 5th floor) for conversations or computer work. We booked a shared room in a quad room and had a nice stay. Room was clean and quiet, nicely vented with air from outside. Bathroom was clean (women's) and close to our room. Beds were comfortable, sheets fresh. We did not eat or have coffee in dining area, but when we brought in our own food they were very gracious to provide us with utensils, plates and glasses for each meal. I would stay here again.

A decent hostel with reasonable prices. I was a bit unhappy to find i had to pay €3 to change my bedsheets. I was there for 5 days. I feel spare sheets could have been included in the price. Other than that the office staff were nice and spoke english well.

My stay at the Frankfurt Central Hostel was short but the "highlights" included (1) the owner grabbing and pinning me against the wall, (2) elbowing me in the face, (3) kicking my glasses and cell phone when they hit the ground after said elbowing, (4) clenching my shirt so hard that he left cuts and bruises in my chest, (5) throwing over his head by backpack with my DSLR camera inside at my face, (6) chucking my other bag with ceramics inside it against the wall, and (7) threatening to kill me if I ever returned. What set this man off? Surely it must have been something terrible.

Earlier that night I made a booking through Expedia and after walking 40 minutes with my heavy bags I arrived at the hostel, was buzzed in, and promptly told by the owner that he cancelled my booking. Why? The price was too low. The owner wanted me to pay more than twice the price I had reserved it for (45 euros for a bed in an 8 person room). He also claimed that my credit card did not process the room charge, but he was not authorized to charge my card and certainly not for 45 euros. According to the terms of the reservation I was to pay 21 euros at the hostel. So, as anyone who has worked on consumer protection issues would have done, I tried to show him my reservation on my phone where it explained the price and the payment terms. He wanted none of it and halfway through my explanation he grabbed me and proceeded through numbers (1) - (7).

Its up to you to decide whether this man deserves your business, but buyer beware if you find what looks like a deal online.

I understand that it's just a hostel with two stars but I visited better hostels with the same amount of stars. We needed to pay almost everything extra and even had to bring our own bed sheets in the dirty laundry. It was the first experience like this and I saw better.
