Once at the Ernst May Haus called the number and after a short wait a very pleasant young man gave us a very informative tour of this gem of a house. Think Bauhaus, De Stijl, Corbusier ... definitely worth a visit.

Originally a small two-storey house for one family in Römerstadt, it has been restored over the last years and is now an interesting spot to find out more about city planning in Frankfurt in the period between both World Wars. The kitchen is simply stunning and deadly eficient. ;-) The garden is back ready for vegetables and flowers. Although there's a subway station very nearby, it's maybe even a better idea to cycle along the Nidda river and discover more of the garden village Römerstadt and its unique concept.
