Bockenheimer Weinkontor is a beautiful cozy place, the decoration is unique, all kind of people. There is a great wine's collection and the best Flammkuchen in Frankfurt in my opinion. The waitresses are a bit serious but efficient and they only accept cash. Book a table in case you want to seat outside.

Venue and crowd are nice. Staff friendly and efficient. Prices ok. We tried several German white and Italian red wines by the glas. Honestly, the quality was a bit soso. Even in Frankfurt there a wine bars that offer better quality for similar or just slightly higher prices. However, we noticed that many ppl bought wine by the bottle. Maybe there are better options. We’ll try next time when we are in the area.

If you ever get the chance to go to this place ask for Lisa, she will reserve a nice table for you and make you feel welcome and cared for the whole evening.
She has great conversation starters and a great personality which goes hand in hand with the great atmosphere this place offers, it has a nice hidden charm to it and the rest of the staff was very friendly and attending to all your needs.
Have a go at their daily picks of wines and don't be shy to chat up Lisa, she does not bite, the Flammkuchen and the stove melted cheese are a great combo.
Greetings to Lisa, a wine connoisseur that will make you feel like you are Alice in Wonderland.
Maybe she is entirely bonkers at times, but I'll tell you a secret, all the best people are.

Don't forget to smile and be kind to strangers.

You won't regret it.

My favorite bar in Frankfurt!! Small, cozy but still decent. Outdoor seats’ vibe is getting more amazing when the sun goes down. Definitely one of the best bars in Frankfurt

Unfortunately the rating of this place is really not deserved and probably relies on old reviews. The wine is really not the best quality and a short google search will show you that the bottles are really rather low quality and have a complete disconnect with the prices (more so than in other places).

There is no service at the table, you have to queue, order and pay inside. It's only cash and no cards are accepted. None of our rather large group got a receipt (taxes ;)). The glasses, cutlery and dishes are cheapest of the cheap. The snacks are also supermarket "can" type, but still took forever to arrive. You have to move inside after 10pm as the terrace gets closed and you will be asked very rudely to do so or leave.

All in all - definitely avoid this place as there are much nicer wine venues in Frankfurt. It is clearly aiming to maximize profits and give as little in return as possible.

Lovely little wine bar, super friendly and helpful staff that speaks English.
Great wine selection and well priced.

The place itself is hidden, cool, and pretty. The waitress and the bar-lady were completely overworked, so not very friendly. The boss needs to employ more people when it's busy. The food was quite good. The white wines were great. Two of the red wines had clearly been open for a day or two and were tending towards vinegar. This is the downside of having too many wines available by the glass. Given how overworked the bar-lady was, I did not go and complain about this.
