Nice and clean. Very good breakfast.
For 3 days nobody checked and refiled the shower gel. They haven't replaced or washed water glasses for 3 days also.

I liked the rooms, sadly there was noy coffee or tea in the rooms, I asked the receptionist and apparently only some room more expensive have it. For a 4 star hotel, I expected that for the price at least coffee or tea was available.

Also, this is not my first time in one NH, I have visited many in Europe, and the breakfast in this one was my least favorite... Little options, maybe because of corona or not. In addition, the coffee was not so good and there were moment it was impossible to keep social distance in the buffet.

The TV has very little channels in English or other language apart from German.

On the good side, the bed was comfy as always. The location was perfect for visiting the christmas market. The parking was easy to find, but there were only 16 spaces, so if was full you have to park in front, and it is more expensive.

The staff was nice and helpful. The shower and the room was very good, typical NH.

Located next to incredibly loud roads. Great breakfast, fresh fruits.

The rooms are not heated and especially for Families with small kids it is getting hard in Winter. The room is in Winter really cold (Temp. around 19 to 20 degree) and unconvinient for familes. I do not recommend staying here in Winter. Or bring your own heater with you. This Was my second and last visit. Sorry but no more NH Essen.

Very comfortable rooms at an attractive rate! Its a new business hotel and has everything you need. I truly enjoyed the breakfast, the underground parking and the fitness room. The breakfast is a bit too expensive imho. But since you are right across a big mall (with a supermarket) which is open from 7am to 10pm, it can easily be mitigated. The staff was always helpful and friendly.

Clean, very well located and excellent breakfast. The only problem is that it has a very small parking place and you need to go to a public one just in front of the hotel, but cost extra
