Excellent food ! The service is very outstanding, and you would find a variable selection of authentic Greek food on the menu, very well priced as well. Decoration is great and the staff are very welcoming and nice. If you're looking for an authentic Greek food experience, then search no more !!

I’m not sure why some people are disappointed in this restaurant. We had two great experiences. For Tapas, I found the portions to be very generous! We were in Essen for ten days and ate here twice. Both meals were excellent. One waiter did not speak English but he was polite and tried hard to help us. I am gluten free and they helped with that also. The lunch menu has traditional meals which were very reasonably priced and included plenty of food. The place is well decorated as well. Very classy. We ate outside because the weather was nice. We had chicken and salmon and both were delicious. The Sauvignon Blanc is very good too.If we lived in Essen, this would be our “go to” spot! Don’t listen to the negative! Give it a try...you won’t be disappointed!

Even with a group of 13 people with last minute reservation nothing was impossible. Great food.

Nice ambiance, and very carefully abiding with social distancing guidelines. Food is amazing, the only place i came across with the widest range of vegetarisch and vegan food. Had a good time, courteous staff, quick service and reasonable prices made my experience even more pleasurable. Must try Rollakia Melitzanas, Greek Pita and Tzatziki....

Great service on a busy Saturday night when most restaurants were full. One of the waiters didn’t speak English so to get around it we wrote down the numbers of the food items we wanted. Food arrival was quick and delicious. Well priced and nice warm atmosphere.

Well! Where do start? Visited this restaurant w/c 13/8/2018 while visiting family in Germany. The restaurant had some really good reviews and that might of been about the food and/or the service, but frankly the service we received tonight was shocking. Despite having English in their menu, none of the waiters spoke English so after failing to communicate we took to google translate to try to improve our limited German but one of the waiters (short baldheaded guy) took exception to this and was almost hostile.

This guy was quite clearly p*ssed off from the get go because he dropped a load of plates behind the counter, and when he brought us the wrong order he actually tutted loudly at us. We were made to feel so unwelcome that when we asked for the bill the first thing the second waiter on shift (older guy with longish grey hair) said was "no English."

The food in my opinion wasn’t that special, everything was really greasy if anything. We really wanted Greek that night listened to the good reviews. Wish I'd gone with the place near my hotel. If I could've given 0 stars I would've. One thing I can say for sure though is that I will never be re-visiting Eleon in Essen.
