It's always a nice experience here.
Food is good, service is nice and attentive and the atmosphere is good.
Sure, it's large and a chain, but if you don't expect an individualistic small, family-led establishment there's nothing wrong with that.

Does have a decent selection of vegetarian food too, which is a plus.

Nice location to chill, though with not many options for vegan. Outside sitting was fine but bring your jacket as in autumn/spring when the sun is gone it is getting chilly. Nice chilly though. Overall, a nice place for a stop.

Yummy food, nice stuff, and cozy place for chilling! One of the best ever in Germany. If I get back to Essen again, this restaurant is my first and last place to be! Thanks ????

Great ambiance and staff. The place is really beautiful on the inside. The food is very good and you always get great beer in Germany.

We sat at a table outside with my partner, for breakfast and coffee. After half an hour, no one came !!!! I went inside the store, where I was informed about the proceedings and after ten minutes I waited at the reception, at my own urging !!! I spoke English, no one answered me, and another client was forced to do translator duties !!!!!!! After a lot, they gave me to fill in a CV ..... and to my surprise I was informed that they will tell me where to sit, although there was no sign on the tables that is allowed and where not !!! Zero organization. Service below zero !!!!

Nice place, big but cosy, loved the music.
Delicious food and drinks. Very friendly staff.
