After about 3 hours of waiting at the gas station then came the message of the breakdown service, I could go to the next official Europcar Station get a replacement car. Said done, around 24 hours we sat in the replacement transporter and could at least go home. The next day I am to the station for the deposit and at least the net cost refunded. The reaction was incredible! I would have to contact the customer service and I would have driven good 100Km TOO MUCH but I have not been charged out of goodwill. An impudence! I've been able to use the car effectively 5 hours and should be driven in this time over 170km .. loud gps but only a tour of Essen-Borbeck to Heiligenhaus and back so good 50km + the trips to the replacement vehicle and back ... Tank was after 7 € full with receipt .. very strange. Now I will confront the extremely rude and dismissive CEO a second time! Just embarrassing!

Ich habe vor kurzem um 17:45Uhr bei Europcar in Essen Borbeck einen Transporter für 24h mit 100km frei gemietet.
Den Wagen durfte ich mit den Worten ,,vorne hab ich grad sauber gemacht, hinten hab ich noch nicht reingeguckt‘‘ entgegen nehmen. Nun gut, ein bisschen Dreck gehört wohl zum Geschäft aber schmierige, klebrige Substanzen sind wirklich zu viel! Dann, kurz nach dem losfahren meldet sich die Öldruck Warnleuchte und beginnt kurze Zeit später zu blinken... hab schon von Motorschaden gehört und bin rechts ran.. beim Pannendienst angerufen und gesagt bekommen ich darf nicht weiter fahren, der Wagen wird Abgeschleppt. Sehr kurios, der Wagen mit dem ich eine Panne hatte war mit diesem Nummernschild NICHT im Europcar System registriert und der Vertrag HANDSCHRIFTLICH aufgesetzt. Nach ca.3 stunden des wartens an der Tankstelle kam dann die Meldung des Pannendienstes, ich könnte zur nächsten offiziellen Europcar Station fahren einen Ersatzwagen bekommen. Gesagt getan, gegen 24uhr saßen wir dann im Ersatztransporter und konnten immerhin NACH HAUSE fahren. Am Tag darauf bin ich zur Station um die Kaution und zumindest die Nettokosten erstattet zu bekommen. Die Reaktion war unglaublich! Ich hätte mich an den Kundendienst zu wenden und ich wäre gute 100Km ZU VIEL gefahren die mir aber aus Kulanz nicht in Rechnung gestellt worden sind. Eine Frechheit! Ich hab den Wagen effektiv 5 stunden nutzen können und soll in dieser Zeit über 170km gefahren sein.. laut gps aber nur eine Tour von Essen-Borbeck bis Heiligenhaus und zurück also gute 50km +die Fahrten zum Ersatzfahrzeug und zurück... Tank war nach 7€ voll mit Beleg.. sehr kurios. Nun werde ich den äußerst unfreundlich und abweisenden Geschäftsführer ein zweites Mal damit konfrontieren! Einfach nur peinlich!

Der Mann am Schalter war leider nicht der freundlichste, was ich sehr schade fand. Bei Nachfrage, ob sie noch andere Autos zur Verfügung haben, bekam ich leider nur eine Schroffes NEIN! Die Abwicklung ging zwar schnell, doch der Ton macht die Musik.
Da ich über einen Drittanbieter das Auto dort gemietet habe, wurde ich anscheinend auch anders Behandelt, als wenn Leute direkt dort buchen (das konnte ich bei einem Gespräch mit dem Mann heraushören).
