This place was great. Went there on a weekday and the staff was very friendly.

They only accept cash and card if it is EC (not your standard Visa). Next, I had to try the local beer called a Stauder. It's a pills and was recommended and it's wasn't the best but unique I would say. Next I tried there Pfeldwein. That may have been misspelled but it's like the perfect combo. Tastes like a radler but smooth like wine.

Definitely give it a try and let me know how you like it. If I get the chance to go back I for sure will and try some other recommended drinks.

Finally, for the review I will have to give this place a 7 out of 10 on that ???? scale. It had great drinks and an even better staff that were very accommodating and sweet.

It was a pleasure to eat here.
I was with my family and we were looking for a traditional place to eat, we found this place that hit the spot.
The food is unbelievable you feel like it’s 1980.
German atmosphere, you can request games at the bar and play cards with friends while waiting for your food.
Amazing feeling!

One of the best bars in the Pott. A classic. If you want the full Essen experience with as much Stauder as you want, Amputte is it!

Tipical German old stil Kneipe. Very simple and popular. Open till morning, almost. They having a late meals. Goulash in 03.00 Am. ???? ????

The waiters are among the friendliest I have ever met. Hence the 5 stars. Beware: vegetarians will have some problems with the menu.
