I stayed here on a weekend in 2003. It was a slightly long but not uncomfortable walking distance from the Bahnhof. The best thing was that the lady who ran it was very friendly - she didn't seem to mind that I arrived late, struck up a conversation with me even though my German was pretty awful, and she kept the breakfast out late for me when I went to the Severikirche early Sunday morning - the view while eating breakfast is quite lovely. International travelers should note that single rooms may not include access to a shower. My room had a sink over a tiled area which was adequate for a sponge bath, and the toilet was in the hall. The room was neat and clean, with simple but comfortable furniture. Only thing wrong was a broken lampshade that could not be immediately replaced. There are places to eat nearby, some of which offer a lovely nighttime view of the Cathedral. The area seemed safe and populated during the evening, although it seemed wise to steer clear of some youth loitering on the Cathedral steps. I had a wonderful trip and would be glad to stay here again.
