Great cozy location for a nice lunch and beer. The service was great and the staff was extremely helpful to us knowing little German. We look forward to coming again.

My partner's parents took us here because they were too tired to look for anywhere else to eat in Kaiserswerth. Conveniently located near the castle ruins. Flies plagued our meal, but those (and wasps) don't seem to bother the locals... Food was delicious and filling. Service was fine. Definitely try the specials -- they seem to come in larger portions than the regular items. :D

Sitting at the outside dining could be a great experience, however on the day we did the wind picked up and sent dust across our food. Glasses went flying and people played music (not restaurant sponsored) while asking for money in the middle of our conversation. This caused the dinner to be a little less relaxing.
The food was good and the servers were friendly.

We sat outside, in the area between the two streets that run in front of the restaurant. It is loud! so even on a nice day, if you are not used to noise this may cause you to have a less than a nice moment. The waiter was - how do I say this - unenthusiastic. But I am not surprised, it is common to find service less than friendly in the area. We only had drinks, the Alt beer was good, the waiter efficient but because of the noise levels we decided to eat somewhere else. I went to use the restrooms and the restaurant is very nice inside. So I would say for environment inside 5 stars. Outside, 3 stars. I am not rating the food because as stated before, we didn't have any.

The food was amazing, and this service even better. They were incredibly kind about my showing up at 9:30 PM and asking for a warm meal. Like it was no big deal. The prices were very reasonable as well. I have a wonderful evening after a stressful day of traveling - thanks to the folks at the restaurant

Ate here on the strength of previous reviews and we were very delighted with the results. We are schnitzel and drank beer all at very reasonable prices. Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. In fact, I think we'll eat here tomorrow.
