Staff (lady) was very friendly and said my room was on 2nd floor and if she'd had a room on the 1st floor,she would have given it to me (I am nearly 66). Room was very clean; bedding was spotless; as were the towels. The room was very quiet. There was no noise from any other rooms. I had a television,which I found easy to turn on! Plenty of plugs (handy for charging up my phone.Tea and coffee facilities in the kitchen.A ticket for free transport,which came in really useful,as I was sightseeing all over the town with my son and his friend.
Value for money at Hotel Karolinger cannot be beaten. Excellent!

Bit of a shady hotel. No atmosphere, smells like an ashtray

It was a great place to stay, especially for the price. We got a key to the main door, so it was easy to get to our room deep in the night! The bed's where OK, they weren't perfect, but we weren't expecting that, for the few hours of sleep we got, it was fine. The cushions were a bit on the small size, so my colleague didn't had the best sleep. The room itself was clean and we even got a small package of Haribo candy on our cushions ^^

Very good position, especially if you use the card for public transportation that they give you for free at check-in! The personal is very kind and the room pretty comfortable. Everything at a affordable price for Dusseldorf.

Located 10 to 15 minutes away from the Central Station in a nice and peaceful area. Plenty of Restaurants, a shopping market and a Mall can found within walking distance from the mall. Also located close to the tram stop. Room and Toilet were well maintained, has a Tv connection with multiple German channels, has a mini fridge and a hair dryer. Overall a pleasent place to stay. The only negative was that the room was not totally sound proof. If you are looking for a comfortable short stay, I would recommend Hotel Karolinger.

Good central location.
The hotel was 10 minutes walk from the shopping centre.
The room was very clean. They gave transport cards included in price

Hotel is neat and clean..Well maintained but the rooms are small, for the price it's good..
