Charming place, with simple furnishings. Excellent location.
The reception was difficult to reach, as it seems that they are downstairs in the restaurant, unless requested.
I was only able to get spotty wifi access on the ground level... The rooms are two to five floors up. (No elevator.) They should not advertise in-room wifi.
There was a kettle, but nothing else... No coffee, no cups. Odd.
There were no curtains on the windows. (Mini-blinds on one, and the other was bare.)
Okay place, but know what you're getting into.

The reception was mostly closed and the staff were very difficult to reach. They wouldn't answer the phone for an hour when we were trying to drop off the luggage. Heating wasn't working properly and at some point there was no hot water. They weren't reachable by phone or text again. I only got a message back 5hrs after reporting the issue. But nobody helped me in the morning while trying to get ready for a business meeting, had to take a cold shower in the middle of winter... They offered a compensation in a form of free food from a chicken shop downstairs which opened 1.5hrs late so we didn't have time to get anything, plus the staff were rude, they said it was my problem that they weren't ready... We ended up getting vouchers for breakfast in another place which turned out to be equally bad. They took 40mins to put a few slices of cheese and ham on our plates because they were busy serving the customers who actually paid... They put us in a room of the 5th floor without a lift with a very narrow and shaky stairway to last floor. The room didn't have a sitting area with a sofa (that's what the ad said) and they provided only paper cups and tiny wooden spoons. Couldn't even make proper tea. The fridge was extremely loud, kept waking me at night. All this for 140eur per night... Extremely disappointed :(

Perfectly located in the city center and absolutely perfect for sightseeing and shopping. Really nice rooms and surprisingly no annoying sounds from outside. Total recommendation.

(Translated by Google) On November 9th After waiting for over an hour in front of the hotel, we moved into our booked room (€ 154 for one night) and had to find out that the heating was not working and the room was therefore very cold. We informed the hotel service about this on the phone. (The reception was never manned, so everything was by phone)
He had told us that there had been such a problem a few days earlier and promised to solve it, possibly with a new room.
Absolutely nothing happened !!!
We tried to call him several times, but no one answered and no more callbacks. We were just left sitting in the cold ...
We were frozen all night and in the morning you could even see your own breath.
If you do know that something is wrong with the heating, you always have to have an emergency solution ready. An electric portable heater would have done it too.
The weekend was a birthday present from my husband to switch off from the stressful everyday life with children ... that was probably nothing!
So the room itself was nice, but we are totally disappointed with the service!

Am 09.11. haben wir nach über einer Stunde Wartezeit vor dem Hotel unser gebuchtes Zimmer (154€ für eine Nacht) bezogen und mussten feststellen das die Heizung nicht funktionierte und das Zimmer dementsprechend sehr kalt war. Dies teilten wir dem Hotelservice am Telefon mit. (Die Rezeption war nie besetzt, deshalb alles telefonisch)
Er hatte uns gesagt, dass es einige Tage zuvor schonmal so ein Problem gab und versprochen dies zu lösen, eventuell mit einem neuen Zimmer.
Es ist absolut nichts passiert !!!
Wir haben ihn noch versucht mehrmals anzurufen, doch es ging niemand ran und auch kein Rückruf mehr. Wir wurden einfach im kalten sitzen gelassen...
Wir haben die ganze Nacht gefroren und am Morgen hat man sogar den eigenen Hauch gesehen.
Wenn man doch weiß, dass etwas mit der Heizung nicht stimmt, muss man doch immer eine Notlösung parat haben. Eine elektrische portable Heizung hätte es auch getan.
Das Wochende war ein Geburtstagsgeschenk von meinem Mann, um mal kurz vom stressigen Alltag mit Kindern abzuschalten...das war wohl nichts!
Also das Zimmer an sich war schön, aber vom Service sind wir total enttäuscht!!!

The check-in was also relatively fast and friendly, you just have to know that you have to register in advance and tell us the time of arrival, then it's also very, very fast and uncomplicated.
I'll definitely be back, I liked it more than that.

Die Lage ist einmalig, perfekt um das Cityleben zu genießen, sämtliche Bars,Clubs, Restaurants in nur paar Meter Entfernung. Die Rheinpromenade ist auch direkt hinter dem Rathausgebäude.
Das Zimmer war super schön mit einem sehenswerten Blick auf die Altstadt und was mich positiv überascht hat, ist die perfekte Isolierung von dem Lärm drausen, man war mitten drin und hat trotzdem seine Ruhe gehabt. Das Einchecken war auch relativ schnell und freundlich, man muss nur wissen das man sich vorher anmelden muss und die Ankuftszeit mitteilen, dann geht aus auch sehr sehr schnell und unkompliziert.
Komme auf jedenfall wieder, hat mir mehr als gut gefallen.
