Waited 25 minutes outside the door then another 10 to order. I do understand corona regulations but the table didn’t even get wiped between guests. Very disappointed. Had two drinks and left quickly.

Bread and more bread. German bread at its best. Bastians is a phenomenal bakery in the middle of Düsseldorf and a local favorite. Go for your daily bread or go for breakfast.
Breakfast is popular among locals so expect a queue. English menus available on request.

A simple google search for top rated bakeries in the Old City of Düsseldorf landed me here and to be honest this should be at leat on of your top two choices for breakfast in the old city. Everything was fresh, high quality products, professional and friendly staff members, clean, beautiful ambience, excellent location and comfortable seating. I think I need though to highlight that this place was extremely busy today (Sunday). Regardless our waitress managed to be friendly, professional and highly competent. We paid for a deluxe breakfast with at least 5-6 types of cheese, butter, marmalade, black coffee, small fresh orange juice, latte, black tea, a basket full of several types of toast and “brötchen”, tomatoes and scrambled eggs. We asked them to remove all meat ( pork u0026 turkey)products that were supposed to be included in the breakfast menu. Overall a GREAT experience and certainly for me THE place to have breakfast when I come back to Düsseldorf.

Very nice place to have breakfast in the weekends. Especially when it’s sunny you can perfectly sit outside as well.

You get a lot of freshly made bread rolls, scrambled eggs and a proper breakfast plate.

Their croissant is very good, above average and the environment is also very pleasant and those are the two points why I would come back, because the French toast that I had was not good, extremely thin and with fruits that looked old and the Menu didn't even have a full description of this French toast and to finish, what they sell as honey is very bad.

Great place to take your breakfast. Very tasty scrambled eggs with gouda. Place is almost full since 8am.

The service has been slow in my experience but since the place is so cozy i haven't minded. The cakes are delicious. Great for meeting up with friends or family or take a break after shopping. The outdoors are just wonderful on a sommer afternoon. The area is usually full of people but suits the ambience.
