Of course, it was reclaimed and I was offered a new, but I would have enough of that and ordered me a pork schnitzel. This was at least okay in terms of taste, but after the visit I was sick in the stomach all evening.

The service cleared away the almost full plates and did not even dare to ask if we liked it.

When the bill came we counted a total of 150 €, despite disappointment we gave her a little tip.
5 min after we paid, the service came back again and apologized, they still had to settle the two extra fried eggs that my brother had ordered for his fried potatoes ... in the amount of 3 € ????

Grauenhaftes Essen bei insgesamt 8 Personen!
Graues Fleisch, insbesondere beim Schnitzel, völlig überteuerte Gerichte für das was man bekommt. Bedienung recht freundlich, allerdings saßen wir letzten Endes oftmals auf dem Trockenen, sodass meine kleine 8 jährige Nichte die Bedienung dazu geholt hat.
Das Gericht meiner Mutter (Bandnudeln in amararetto Soße und Hähnchenbrustfilet) bestand aus einem Päckchen aufgewärmte Schlagsahne... Aber das Highlight war wohl mein Filetsteak für sage und schreibe 29€.
Fleisch war ganz offensichtlich schon alt, zäh wie eine Schuhsohle und bei allem Respekt nicht ansatzweise ein Stück Filet.
Medium bestellt, komplett durchgebraten kam es an, der Kern war roh und schimmerte gräulich. Über den Geschmack muss ich da wohl kaum noch sprechen.
Selbstverständlich wurde es reklamiert und mir wurde ein neues angeboten, jedoch hätte ich davon genug und bestellte mir ein Schweineschnitzel. Dieses war geschmacklich zumindest okay, dennoch war mir nach dem Besuch dort den ganzen Abend über flau im Magen.

Die Bedienung räumte die noch fast vollen Teller ab und traute sich nicht mal mehr zu fragen, ob es uns geschmeckt hat.

Als die Abrechnung kam zählten wir insgesamt 150€, trotz Enttäuschung gaben wir ihr ein wenig Trinkgeld.
5 min nachdem wir gezahlt hatten, kam die Bedienung nochmals zurück und entschuldigte sich, sie müsse noch die zwei extra Spiegeleier abrechnen die mein Bruder für seine Bratkartoffeln bestellt hatte...in Höhe von 3€ ????
Das sie sich das überhaupt noch getraut hat, nachdem fast jeder Teller noch fast voll war und wir schon etwas reklamiert hatten, hat uns wohl alle erstaunt.

Definitives Fazit: nie wieder!

Ein richtiger Geheimtipp, den viele zu Unrecht nicht aufsuchen. Vielleicht, weil die Gesamtbewertung hier auf Google Maps nur bei 3,7 liegt, viele negative Bewertungen aus vergangenen Jahren ziehen den Schnitt herunter. Als wir dann das Restaurant betraten, fiel uns gleich der muffige Geruch auf. Die Chefin begrüßte uns direkt sehr freundlich und wir trauten uns einfach nicht mehr,wieder zu gehen.Am Tisch angekommen, fiel uns direkt der ganze Staub an der vielen Dekoration auf, man kam sich vor wie auf einem Trödelmarkt aus vergangenen Zeiten. Wir bestellten uns dann das Tagesgericht.Es gab eine Vorsuppe, gebratenen Schweinebauch mit grünen Bohnen und Kartoffelpüree. Die Suppe(Brühe mit Einlage)war wohl noch das Beste vom ganzen Essen, danach folgte eine Katastrophe nach der anderen. Schweinebauch zäh,Kartoffelpüree aus der Tüte und die Bohnen waren in einer Art Mehlpampe .Eigentlich hätten wir noch Geld bekommen müssen, als Entschädigung..Das war der schlimmste Restaurantbesuch meines Lebens!!Und noch etwas positives zum Schluss:mein Malzbier schmeckte hervorragend.

We were on Saturday (September 8th) as a regulars' table with 11 people in Waldborn. The journey was quite adventurous, because a navigation system rarely takes the direct route, even if it is set up that way. So we already got an impression of the beautiful surroundings around the restaurant when we arrived (you can certainly go for long and beautiful walks there).

Arrived in the restaurant, there was a very rustic feeling at first, the facilities and the decoration are a bit older, but that also has flair and should - no, SHOULD - not be rated negatively. :-)

After we had taken a seat and ordered the drinks as quickly as possible and shortly afterwards the food, we had time to indulge in our evening's regulars' table topics. The waitresses were very attentive and asked at reasonable intervals if everything was ok.

In addition to our regulars' table, there were a large number of other companies in the restaurant that evening and there were also other occupied tables in our premises. Therefore, the preparation of the dishes took a little longer. But who needs a rush on a cozy evening. When the food came, there was silence because everyone liked the food so much. Whether schnitzel, cordon bleu, medallions or beef roulade - everything was prepared with a lot of love and tasted great! - Here you can quietly express praise to the kitchen. :-)

After eating, we usually stay a little longer on site, which we did this time. So it was roughly 11 p.m. before we said goodbye to the restaurant. At the final payment, there was even a small comedy insert from the landlady herself, which sometimes brought tears to our eyes.

We are already announcing here that we will certainly book this restaurant again for our regulars' table next year.

Ich möchte hier mal, unter anderem auch im Namen unseres Stammtisch, der "KawasakiS NRW" eine Lanze für dieses Lokal brechen.

Wir waren am Samstag (8.9.) als Stammtisch mit 11 Personen im Waldborn. Die Anfahrt war recht abenteuerlich, weil ein Navigationssystem wohl seltenst den direkten Weg wählt, auch wenn es so eingestellt ist. So bekamen wir bei der Anfahrt bereits einen Eindruck von der schönen Umgebung um das Lokal herum (da kann man sicher auch ausgiebige und schöne Spaziergänge machen).

Im Lokal angekommen, kam erst ein sehr rustikales Gefühl auf, die Einrichtungen und auch die Deko sind schon etwas älter, aber auch das hat ja Flair und sollte –nein DARF - man nicht negativ bewerten. :-)

Nachdem wir Platz genommen hatten und schnellstmöglich die Getränke sowie kurz darauf auch das Essen geordert wurden, hatten wir Zeit, unseren abendlichen Stammtischthemen zu frönen. Die Bedienungen waren sehr aufmerksam und fragten in angemessenen Abständen ob alles in Ordnung sei.

Neben unserem Stammtisch gab es an dem Abend eine Großzahl an weiteren Gesellschaften im Lokal und auch bei uns in den Räumlichkeiten gab es weitere belegte Tische. Daher dauerte die Fertigstellung der Speisen etwas länger. Aber wer braucht schon Hektik an einem gemütlichen Abend. Als das Essen kam, wurde es still, denn allen mundete das Essen hervorragend. Ob Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu, Medaillons oder Rinderroulade - alles war mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet und schmeckte grandios! - Hier darf man ruhig ein Lob an die Küche aussprechen. :-)

Nachdem Essen bleiben wir in der Regel auch noch etwas länger vor Ort, was wir auch dieses Mal taten. So wurde es grob 23 Uhr, ehe wir uns aus dem Lokal verabschiedeten. Bei der abschließenden Bezahlung gab es sogar noch mal eine kleine comedy-Einlage von der Wirtin selber, die uns teilweise noch zu Tränen in den Augen rührte.

Wir kündigen hier schon mal an, dass wir sicherlich auch im kommenden Jahr dieses Lokal wieder für unseren Stammtisch buchen werden.
