Le Nozze di Figaro at Deutsche Oper am Rhein. A solid, no-nonsense performance, but without edge, flare, umph. Good singers, good scenography, great orchestra, but all lacking the extra something that'd made the performance memorable.

Das schöne klassizistische Gebäude bietet schon von weitem einen imposanten Eindruck hinter einer Rasenfläche. Geboten wird hier Oper Ballett und Schauspiel auf durchwegs hohem Niveau. Vor der Vorstellung kann man einer Einführung in das jeweilige Werk beiwohnen. Auch Service und Catering lassen keine Wünsche offen.
