I have been here several times, always a pleasure. It has a nice atmosphere, upper class but cosy. Lovely place to enjoy one of the various coffee offerings together with some pastry only the Germans can make.
Last time I enjoyed a cappuccino first and then a full chicken salad with a local beer. They also serve sausages etc.

Located at the center of Duisburg. It overcome my expectations. Very delicious authentic German bakery.
Waiters were friendly. The selection is very high in variety. Good to have a morning coffee there with a bit of chat with friends.

I had the Black Forest Cake and a cappachino. The cake was amazing! Totally recommend this place! A very good German bakery!

Bad food and service
Bread was hard and stale
I ordered a simple yoghurt with fruit, cheese, ham and bread. Took about 15 min to prepare, and the restaurant was maybe at 20-30% capacity.
I was going to pay and leave without receiving my breakfast, and then they brought it out in 1 min.
The only good thing about it was its location.

Enviroment looked so elite and personnels were so polite. But I guess the cake I ordered had been left in deepfreeze, so it tasted like deepfreeze and also all the cherry was frozen (I had trouble with eating them). I really did not like it, and I asked them changing my cake. Thankfully they changed my cake rapidly without difficulty. It was nice. I ordered Duisburg cake that time, and I point out that If you want to try this one, it must be good for you to know that it included Marzipan.
Prices were too high. A small cup filtre caffee was 2,80 euro. Cup was really small. And they did not accept credit card also.

I waited for 20 minutes for someone to take my order and none of the waitresses even acknowledge me. The place wasn't even full, there were probably 4-5 customers sitting already when I got there with around 5 waitresses working. Some of them even walked next to my table in order to clean the tables next to me where people had just paid and left. A couple came in 5 minutes after me and they were immediately greeted and in 2 minutes a waitress took their order. This was a rude and disrespectful attitude from everyone working there towards me while I waited for some service.

Service was very slow and inadequate.
