I am in love with this hotel. The staff is nice. You can even cook in the kitchen, when you ask for it. Isn't this amazing? The only thing I didn't like is how they made the bed. I need the whole duvet and not a half. Please leave the blanket outside. Gotta cuddle my feet somehow.
I also love that you can dim the light and it feels nostalgic there.

We had one night in executive suite. The decor of the hotel was really cool and the overall vibe nice. Good location. Super clean. The shower of the room was lovely. There were however, a few lacks in our room: there was no hair dryer and there were only one glass for tea/coffee and there were no spoon to mix the coffee sweeteners. Also I would have appreciated harder pillows for my neck.

What an amazing hotel this one! I was very very pleasantly surprised by this hotel - from the room, the decor, the amenities, and the service overall. The only reason I knocked off a star is because of the bed - could be better.

The hotel was unique in every sense possible! the decor was nothing like i've seen before; vintage games, vintage computer screens.. essentially vintage everything. The amenities were amazing, from games rooms to the laundry that comes with detergent! they also have a wonderful bar/resto that's opened all day, all night! Service was amazing as well - we were greeted by a delicious cup of sorbet, and check in and out were a breeze! The experience here was amazing, and every detail in decor truly transported me back to my college days!

Overall, great place with an amazing location - worth every penny! will definitely recommend it!

Stayed here for one night to see the Christmas markets. Excellent value and perfect location! We had an executive suite and the bed and pillows were super comfortable! This is for me the most important thing in a hotel; you gotta have a comfortable bed. We had a nice view, windows looking out onto the street, but around midnight there was noise that woke us up, so I would suggest soundproofing. The bathroom was not the most modern but clean and everything functional. Wi-Fi worked fine everywhere. The cabinets were a little dusty. Some people complain about low lighting in the rooms, but in our room it was fine, sufficient, no complaints from us. Overall I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place!

This is definitely the best hotel experience ever! First of all, thanks for helping us changing the room after we responded the a.c. problems. But we found some problems in the changed room.First, the room has a toilet brush in the toilet.Did house keeper forget sth?Second, there are stains in the bottom of the toilet (see the photos below).Third, the hair from the last guest is still on the bathroom wall. The Last, there is hair dryer holder "without hair dryer!!!"And we told the staff but the problem didn't resolve. Please confirm the rooms is clean and prepared before the customers check in. Thank you a million!

I honestly have to admit I was very disappointed with this hotel. I’ve been staying at The Student Hotel (TSH) chain on several occasions during the past two years in Amsterdam, Florence, Barcelona and now Dresden, and I can honestly say that the Dresden hotel doesn’t do the chain justice. Usually TSH rooms are spacious, of a high standard with great bathroom facilities, good air conditioning in the rooms, excellent cleaning and proper sound isolation despite central locations. TSH Dresden lacked all of this. Air condition was hardly working at all with both our room and our floor being uncomfortably hot to put it mildly. The queen sized room was was quite crammed, with little room to manoeuvre. The usual well placed power outlets near the bed was nowhere to be found, the bathroom facilities were very old and a reminder of the old 2 star hotels from the late 1970s and early 80s. The biggest problem was the poor sound isolation or the total lack of it. We could hear everything happening outside of the hotel at night, everything the neighbouring rooms talked about, and anyone walking and talking the the hallway. If you don’t care for rest, then this is precisely the hotel for you. Also, room service forgot to clean our room on one occasion.
I honestly love TSH chain and will stay with them again on other locations. Just not in Dresden - sadly.

Couldn’t think of a single flaw with TSH Dresden. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and include many nice-to-haves such as a coffee machine, city guide and a paper explaining all the spots in the room that have been cleaned extra well in times of COVID-19.

The lobby, cafe, bar and common working spaces are really awesome and conducive to meeting other travelers or students. A gym, outdoor seating area, table tennis setup, indoor couches and self service computers are just some of the things you’ll find in the lobby. It has a warm and cosy atmosphere that doesn’t feel at all manufactured as can be in some hostels or hotels. A hot tip is to order a latte here - there are some Australian baristas / bartenders that will brew up the best cup of coffee that you’ll have in Germany. Cafe and reception staff were all super friendly.

The location is in the middle of Dresden’s best shopping street and is a short walk away from both the main station and the historical old town.

All in all - best and most fun hotel I’ve stayed in, ever!
