I just entered for a coffee while I was waiting the bus. I was surprised for the decoration as well as the nice service. The waiter recommended me a sweet dish. I have no words. It was so tasteful and delicious. I recommend to give this place a try. It's simple and delicious meal

When I got there around 7pm on a weekday I was concerned as I was the only guest in this restaurant, which is not exactly a restaurant in principle. I ordered a beef goulash with dumplings and a garlic soup. Unfortunately, the garlic soup had little to do with a typical Czech garlic soup, it was a soup with different types of meat and vegetables, which was well seasoned, a bit greasy, but didn't taste like garlic at all, but it was served with typical Czech toasted bread served with a clove of garlic to rub on top. The goulash itself was well seasoned, was served with two different types of dumplings, but it remains unclear why pieces of fried sausage were also included. Some of the dumplings were very juicy and delicious, while others were so hard that they couldn't be cut with a knife, let alone chewed. When I complained, two new dumpling slices were brought to me, which were very warm and fluffy. The entrance to the restaurant, on the other hand, is in the style of a house from the 1920s, which again seemed inviting.
All in all, a mixed rating is only possible, the service was attentive, the lady from the kitchen also apologized for the dumplings, but I still don't know if I would visit this restaurant again...

Ich war zu einer Veranstaltung in Radeberg, habe dort auch übernachtet und wollte in der Umgebung gerne tschechisch essen. Da wurde mir von Google das Restaurant Schwejk angeboten, wobei ich zunächst über die Bewertung von 4.0 stutzig wurde. Als ich gegen 19 Uhr an einem Wochentag dort eintraf war ich beunruhigt, da ich der einzige Gast in diesem Restaurant war, was prinzipiell ja nicht gerade für ein Restaurant spricht. Ich bestellte ein Rindergulasch mit Knödeln und eine Knoblauchsuppe. Die Knoblauchsuppe hatte leider nur wenig mit einer typisch tschechischen Knoblauchsuppe zu tun, es handelte sich um eine Suppe mit verschiedenen Sorten Fleisch und Gemüse, die zwar gut abgeschmeckt war, etwas fettig, aber überhaupt nicht nach Knoblauch schmeckt, dafür wurde ein typisch tschechisches geröstetes Brot mit einer Knoblauchzehe zum darauf Verreiben gereicht. Das Gulasch selbst war gut abgeschmeckt, wurde mit zweierlei verschiedenen Knödeln gereicht warum aber gebratene Wurst Stücke zusätzlich dabei waren bleibt unklar. Die einen Knödel waren sehr saftig und lecker, die anderen teilweise so hart, dass sie nicht mit dem Messer zu schneiden geschweige denn zu kauen waren. Auf die Reklamation hin wurden mir zwei neue Knödelscheiben gebracht, die dann ganz warm und fluffig waren. Der Eingang zum Restaurant dagegen in der Art eines Hauses der 20er Jahre, was wiederum einladend erschien.
Insgesamt also eine durchwachsene Bewertung nur möglich, die Bedienung war aufmerksam, die Dame aus der Küche hat sich auch für die Knödel entschuldigt, trotzdem wüsste ich nicht ob ich dieses Restaurant erneut besuchen würde...

Wir waren 2h dort, von 20 Uhr bis Ladenschluss, im Biergarten draußen. Bedienung war ok, Essen lecker! Der Hauswein leider nicht so. Erst auf Anfrage wurde im Dunkeln draußen eine Kerze auf den Tisch gestellt.. hier sollte von selbst man mitdenken als Bedienung. Danke! Zum Biertrinkern und Snack essen reicht es alle Male..

Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Das Essen ist super lecker und vor allem frisch, logisch dass es dann nicht nach 5min auf dem Tisch steht! Es gibt sowohl tschechische Klassiker als auch moderne Küche und sogar ein veganes Gericht. Dass das Restaurant an einer Straße liegt kann man Google Maps entnehmen ;) der Biergarten ist trotzdem schön und urig. Das Personal ist freundlich und authentisch. Über den Innenraum kann ich nichts sagen, da wir nur im Biergarten waren :)

Es war super lecker, die Portionen waren sehr groß. Die Bedienung war schnell und sehr freundlich. Obwohl wir Samstags in der Mittagszeit Essen waren, war das Restaurant erstaunlich leer. Wir saßen im Biergarten. Es war schön, dass es auch schattige Plätze gab. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, zumal man gleich ums Eck auf den Hutberg wandern kann. Und im Winter kann man da auch super rodeln.
