We're fairly experienced travelers in Germany, and the Hexenhaus now ranks as our favorite all time Pension. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and sunny. The garden setting was relaxing. The breakfasts offered a wide, tasty selection--and were remarkably inexpensive. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the Pension itself was quite convenient to main roads into the city.

The Nudelpfanne was one of the best dishes I ever ate in my life! (ordered it without peppers, which wasn't a problem)
We also had the Hexenhausteller, which was also really nice. Service was good.

A real "locus amenus".
Nice spot, full of fruit trees, cats, beautiful Hauses, paecefull.
We were here with our kid and was also for her a very nice stay.

Staff members are unfriendly, room was cold and heater not turned on, during the night heating system stops automatically. We didn't know about this until we came back to the room at night. We called the emergency reception number to solve the issue, the reply was it is too late and they cannot do anything at and we had to wait till the morning. No one came down to check the heater or give us an extra blanket. when we insisted they stopped answering our phone calls. We registered a complaint and when the owner of the hotel knew about this they sent us an Email threatening us that we have to pay the costs of damage because we disturbed the staff at night, and also to pay for the technician who came to check the heating system (which we never saw!)! very bad experience and not recommended at all

Very nice hotel in a quiet area of Dresden. Lovely ancient houses with beautiful decoration. Very good restaurant!
