The Frauenkirche in Dresden is a beautiful church. This impressive building is very beautiful to look at from the outside and inside. We even had a guided tour with interesting information and backgrounds
The city that suffered the most from the destruction of World War II, demonstrates the strength of reconstruction and its beauties!

Amazing architecture and beauty, on of the coolest constructions in Dresden. In Front of the church there is a big square here you can see lots of activities in summer and other seasons.

The FrauenKirche is like a phoenix that has risen from the ashes. It’s a magnificent piece of history, and a good place to ponder the ills and blessings of this world. Long have I wanted to visit this church, and I was not disappointed! It sits on the square as a star on the top of Christmas tree, it is a beacon of hope and of life to look forward to.

A beautiful church with a history of reconstruction and reconciliation
This church stands on the site of an older church, but was first made in its present form in 1743, where its distinctive dome became a symbol of the city, immortalised in paintings. The church itself was utterly destroyed during the bombings of Dresden in 1945, but has since been reconstructed after the fall of Communism. Part of the funds and labour for the reconstruction were provided by people from the UK, as a symbol of reconciliation between former enemies. The interior is reconstructed in Baroque form, but looks very new indeed. It is a poignant memory of war and the desire to rebuild what is destroyed.

The church looks stunning and it's worth your time. A lot of planning really went into the architecture; the design is detailed. You can light a candle and say a prayer before leaving. As at the time of visiting, ascending the dome costs a little amount and there are souvenir shops closeby to get something as a memento of your visit.

Very beautiful interior and very high dome. Entrance is free, but for those who want to climb all the way to the lantern, there is extra admission.

One of the magnificent and wonderful architecture you would find in Dresden is the Frauenkirche. I would suggest to get a free guided tour to understand the history behind. It was worth a visit.
