Best views of the river below. Walk down is easy but back up to ruins is harder as incline is constant stairs. Take water if you go down. One of the most scenic places in Dortmund. The walk goes down to road and across the bridge. The other side of walk comes on other side of ruins. Best time is early part of the day.

Es gibt jede Menge Parkplätze die gut beschildert rechts und links vor der Brücke ausgeschildert werden. Hier wurde sogar an die Motorrad Fans gedacht und ein eigener Bereich für diese eingerichtet. Wir sind einen Panorama Weg gelaufen. Dieser umschließt den kompletten See mit Burg, Wald etc. Am See entlang zeigt sich dieser sehr belebt durch Radfahrer und Spaziergänger. Radfahrer haben teilweise einen eigenen Weg, aber leider nur teilweise. Es ist sehr sauber gehalten, Mülltonnen gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der angrenzende Wald besteht primär aus Laubbäume und verfügt über eine Menge Besuch durch Mountainbiker. Wer die kleinen "schleichwege" läuft sollte vorsichtig sein. Die Wald Zelle ist ein herrlich anzusehendes natürliches Stück Natur. Leider wimmelt es vor Zecken. Und nicht nur an der Waldzelle - überall. Daher empfehle ich immer lange Hosen anzuziehen. Wer mit Hund unterwegs ist sollte auch für diesen Schutz einplanen. Wer sich die Ruinen der Hohensyburg anschaut wird nicht enttäuscht sein, zudem laden kleine Imbisstände zum verweilen ein. Die ausgebauten Bereiche um die Ruine herum wirken veraltet und abgenutzt. Geländer hatte mal Farbe und die ausgebauten Wege werden langsam durch angrenzende Grün eingenommen. Für die Technikfans, bei dem Rundgang kann läuft man auch an dem RWE Gebäude mit imsässigen Wasserturbinen vorbei. Ich kann es empfehlen sich See, Burg, Wälder etc. Per pedes oder mit dem Rad anzuschauen und die herrliche Natur zu geniessen.
