Der Wald ist für mich und meinem Hund gut zu laufen, es geht bergauf, bergab durch sonnige und schattige Landschaften mit weitem Blick ins Land. Die länge der Wege kann man gut variieren für große und kleine Runden. Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden. Was mir auffiel die Dortmunder - Seite hat keine Papierkörbe, die Schwerter-Seite hat das besser geplant. Es fehlen aber noch einige Ruhebänke, wenn man Asthma oder COPD hat ist nach einem Anstieg eine Verschnaufpause nötig. Es ist ein angenehmer Wald bei sehr heißen Tagen.
