To echo what someone said. This is for a resident not a tourist. Nice to bring my kid. Playground is nice, fort is pretty for adults and we both enjoyed seeing the rose varieties. A nice break from city life.

That this is labeled simply as "Rose Garden" does it no justice at all. This is a rose garden, on top of an old city fortification, built in the mid 1800's. If you are in the city for any length of time, go see this. This garden is excellently kept, and incredibly beautiful.

Small rose garden next to a fort. Nice to sit and read but not worth coming here if you’re a first-time visitor to cologne.
