Absolutely lovely. very nice people are working there. We booked private session with the animals and you can enter the animal enclosures to pet them. A very nice experience in general

WARNING for PARENTS with TODDLERS: Children under the age of 2 are no longer allowed to feed the animals according to the staff at the zoo. This used to be our family's favorite petting zoo but we were UTTERLY disappointed by our recent visit. We were denied a futterbox purchase at the entrance since our child is not yet 2. Apparently this is a new thing(?) and there's no information about this on the zoo's website. We were able to buy the futterbox during previous visits and our kid loved feeding the animals. This past visit without being able to feed the animals was simply unenjoyable - our kid kept asking us for the futter! I mean WHAT's the point going to a petting zoo if you can't feed the animals?

Small place but free. Great to come with kids. Chickens roam around, there are lamas, donkeys, pigs and rabbits of all sorts. Very fun place. There's a small shop where you can get fries and cakes (no healthy choices and no payment by credit card :(... This is Germany after all!)
